  1. To all the people complaining about global passive,

    Star Rail is a PvE game not a PvP game (i.e. there is NO competition).
    Hence, meta is NOT important and never was.

    When I started playing since day 1, I’ve ONLY pulled for character that I LIKE and never for the meta.
    Thus, I’ve enjoyed building and using characters who aren’t that strong, and with them I have zero issues clearing the story and events.

    Admitably, I find the later stages of MoC challenging at times, but that is just small bonus and not collecting every star is fine.

    As long as I do my dailies and complete the events, I have always saved up enough jades to get my favourites characters (except that time I lost my 50/50 on Jingliu’s original banner – but I managed to pull her on her rerun).

    My attitude towards Castorice (and ANY future characters), no matter how strong they are, is the same; I will PULL if I like the character, if not I will SKIP and save up for the future banner of characters I like.

    I think Castorice’s global passive is a nice addition to game, it helps players who are struggling yet is something many older Star Rail players and I can do without.

    If you think that the passive is too strong, or fear that the developers will another create new characters that ‘break the meta’, then let me reiterate, Star Rail is an RPG where you play through an overarching story with side-quests, while collecting companions along the way. (It is not a PvP game, where the strength of characters dictate everything).

    The purpose of collecting different companions is for fun and variety, while also progress through the story more easily (though not necessary). The main objective was never to unlock every character or zero cycle endgame content, doing so will lead you to keep pulling for characters you don’t need and keep you worried about the ‘meta’.

    In the future, I will continue playing Star Rail, pulling for characters I like and skipping the rest and one day reach the end of the story.

      In Hoyo games ALREADY many characters with strong buffs like this – in almost every online game in the world you can find some items/characters/buffs/skills etc that objectively too strong compared to other stuffs – you can fight them all if you want – but normal people just live with it and play as they like.

          If you have a problem with her then u should have a problem with Carlotta and Phoebe since they both can do things no one else can.

          The instant flying u can also do, just grapple and fly, sure its easier but u can still do it.

        • I don’t feel Cantarella like a powercreep. We don’t really care about swimming in this game. Phoebe is more of a powercreep on that point, you can The Fly card x6, it’s insane and so cool.

          As for Natlan exploration, Natlan characters are more oriented toward it but noone screamed Yelan, Wanderer or Xianyun powercreep over Sayu, Venti or Kazuha.
          It makes exploration comfy but you never needed it since in Natlan there is dinosaurs everwhere and outside of Natlan, you have tools like in Sumeru or Chenyu Vale.

The game mode for SINGLE TARGET characters and yet all the top performers are aoe or blast… “Oh but its to sell the newest character”, ok then why didnt PF become single target when Feixiao came around? PF is lame compared to AS so I was happy they were catering to ST units for endgame only for it to become another version of PF. ST suck in PF but the opposite cant be said for AoEs and blast characters but I guess I was just being greedy and stupid…

        HSR is not an RPG where you play through an overarching story. Its a character selling game where the story is dependent on who they want to release. They make the character then they make the story around said character, like Sunday, Tingyun, Therta and lingsha. These are the most egregious examples, other additions arent so noticeable.

        TLDR: OP is being willfully disingenuous and saying its not his problem and that he doesnt care, then proceeds to ignore the games faults it currently has.

          It never occurred to me that we have 3, which theoretically are completely different endgame modes, yet without fail all of them bend over shamelessly for one unit. They fr made everything weak to ice and AoE, as opposed to solely making PF cater to Herta

          Back when Firefly released, they made PF, the AOE MODE FFS, have 4 enemies spawn as opposed to 5 cuz let’s shill blast in Pure Fiction, why not. It hurts even more that endgame refreshes every 42 days. So if you skipped the latest Hoyo fav you’re not allowed to have fun. If you can even call it fun when the DPS you pulled makes the enemy delete itself before you finish a rotation

    It seems “ppl” (hoyo shills), fail to understand whats at play, with the global passives. Hoyo probably isnt making as much money as they used to with hsr, since 1.0 players already got several teams built and dont have a need to pull the shiny new toys and only tend to pull on:
    A: Giga broken characters
    B: Waifu/Husbando
    C: Synergy characters

    And maybe the game isnt getting as many new players/player retention as they wanted, so they chose to start milking the older player base. By “forcing” us to pull for passives instead of characters.

    For me I could go 3 to 4 months without pulling, meaning I had all that time to accumulate pulls, essentially guaranteeing the character I want. Now imagine this happening across all servers multiple of millions of times. They were essentially bleeding money, this situation got even worse when they had the brilliant idea to make Super Break, as those teams tended to be super f2p friendly and ez to build, with the addition of jiaoqiu they would have 2 teams built for the cost of only five 5 stars. Sure they werent 1% team comps but SB was so busted that they didnt need anyone else to clear content for more than 5 months.

    So a quick recap. Since 2.6? The story has been abysmal and the content lacking. Multiple banners that no one actually pulls because of the insane power creep going on, if you spend money to pull on a rerun you are basically trolling, unless its a lc (some of them are rly strong), we have been getting less and less pulls per patch, 2.0 had more than 3.0 and so on, devs not acknowledge the bullshit that global passives are and purposefully designing bad characters to sell you eidolons.

    Look, the revive isnt even the issue. The problem is what they will eventually become mandatory, if AT LEAST they didnt work on end game content I wouldnt even be all that mad, since overworld is piss easy. Today its a revive tomorrow its 20% dmg, next week is 40% more hp and next month is 20% more crit.

    If you fail to see the problem im sry but you might just be a kid or incredibly naive…

        Sadly most of them fail to even understand the issue.
        Many comment that they do not see the Revive passive as a problem…
        Failing to understand that the ability itself is not the issue, the issue is that it is active even if Castorice is not in the Team, it is an Account Wide global passive effect that should not exist because we do not need even more ways the company can “force” players to pull for characters they might not even want but they are “needed” for the Team they like, and now even if they do not actually take place in that Team, their “Global Passive” will be a thing.

        Of course enemies and game content is also going to be ballanced around these “Global Passive” effects so good luck fighting a Boss that can easily wipe your whole Team with some special attack, if you do not have Castorice on your Account to save your butts.

        And possibly more “Global Passives” will bring more dirty mechanics that will be really bothersome to deal with if someone skipped the “solution” they are selling.

  3. V6 changes.

    T2 got a buff, now whenever the Dragon kills everything on the field he gains a 100% speed buff for 1 turn. This is good for all content since even in MoC if you kill whatever remains without donating the Dragon it basically makes sure the Dragon acts first in the next wave as it has 330 speed.

    Her E6 also got buffed allowing for omni break with the Dragon’s atks. Though just like with Acheron by the point you have E6 you’ll probably never see break again because you always kill the enemies before you can break them even in AS.

    • actually adding a global passive does make the game much better, it incentivizes the players to have certain characters. Opens a door full of potential ($$) for future updates. Powercreep is good ($_$) than using the same old teams and bruteforching. how boring that sounds!

      • It isn’t even that hard to be a f2p, all they gotta do is not try and pull every character.
        There are enough free pulls to get the primary meta characters and supports, as long as they are skipping more novelty characters like Yunli, Argenti, Jade, Mydei, Aglaea, Fugue, Fu Xuan, Aventurine, Boothill, etc.
        As long as F2Ps pull strategically, they can do 10 cycle clears in MoC, 60k PF, and 6600 AS, which gives the max reward.

            For me I could go 3 to 4 months without pulling, meaning I had all that time to accumulate pulls, essentially guaranteeing the character I want. Now imagine this happening across all servers multiple of millions of times. They were essentially bleeding money, this situation got even worse when they had the brilliant idea to make Super Break, as those teams tended to be super f2p friendly and ez to build, with the addition of jiaoqiu they would have 2 teams built for the cost of only five 5 stars. Sure they werent 1% team comps but SB was so busted that they didnt need anyone else to clear content for more than 5 months.

            So a quick recap. Since 2.6? The story has been abysmal and the content lacking. Multiple banners that no one actually pulls because of the insane power creep going on, if you spend money to pull on a rerun you are basically trolling, unless its a lc (some of them are rly strong), we have been getting less and less pulls per patch, 2.0 had more than 3.0 and so on, devs not acknowledge the bullshit that global passives are and purposefully designing bad characters to sell you eidolons.

            Look, the revive isnt even the issue. The problem is what they will eventually become mandatory, if AT LEAST they didnt work on end game content I wouldnt even be all that mad, since overworld is piss easy. Today its a revive tomorrow its 20% dmg, next week is 40% more hp and next month is 20% more crit.

            If you fail to see the problem im sry but you might just be a kid or incredibly naive…

This world has so much amazing things to show and give, please don’t let a simple video game ruin yourself. I think you’re in a toxic relationship with HSR. I’m a retired Destiny 2 player, and I was just like how you acted. One day, I finally had enough and quit. And it was the best choice I’ve ever made. I’ve been so much happier since, and done so much things with my life. I’ve accomplished dreams I never thought I would, and geniuenly started loving myself. For you own sake, quit HSR, and move on.

      • All I saw was a chronically online rant about Hoyoverse. The truth is that all video game companies exploit their playerbase for money. It is a major issue, yes, but it’s so rampant in the video game industry that I just don’t have the energy to complain. In the end and in the grand scheme of things, it is just a video game. I’m having fun playing the game and that’s all that matters.

  5. V5 changes.

    Her enhanced skill got buffed from 66% to 80% multiplier.

    Her E2 adds another 10% charge ontop of the 20% it already gives. This apparently allows Cas to get a 1 turn ult every time with 2 remembrance summons on the field. Perfect for that instant nuke strategy. Though you will have to wail until 5.3 for the remembrance healer.

  6. alright hear me out… fu xuan LC on any preservation character (truly does not matter) gives a near full heal to the dragon whenever it wipes out a wave. simply do 3 waves at a time in calyx with castorice technique in between challenges for forbidden farming tech
