n/a | A Memokeeper of the Garden of Recollection. A mysterious and elegant soothsayer. She often wears a warm smile and is willing to patiently listen to the words of others, thus using such means as a pretext to enter "memories" and gain omniscience over certain matters. A lady passionate about collecting unique memories, yet the thoughts that guide her are hard to glean. |
n/a | "She's quite an unusual kid, and I could sense it from the day she was born. It felt like nature itself was celebrating her arrival: The birds chirped, the moon and sun were together in the sky. The cards in my hand seemed to hint at the emergence of a soul steeped in nostalgia. Right from her early years, she had a fascination with stories from the past. She would delve deep into contemplating our origins, our creators, and even the very beginning of the world. Her questions would leave even the most erudite scholars scratching their heads. Sure, some other kids might poke fun at her for asking such deep questions, but aren't those questions important? Life is akin to a winding labyrinth, where memories serve as our sole companions." Afflicted with amnesia, her mother struggled with forgetfulness, making it difficult for her to recognize her family or recall recent events. Clutching the diagnosis of amnesia, she held her mother tightly, attempting to read aloud from the latter's diary. Her mother was physically present, but where was she in the realm of consciousness? She stayed by her mother's side until the end of her life, realizing that her mother had been fading away as her memories became fragmented. If her own memories of her mother were to ever become blurred as well, her mother would completely slip away from her. "Life is akin to a winding labyrinth, where memories serve as our sole companions." For the first time, she comprehended the profound meaning behind these words. * Unlocked at Character Level |
n/a | "I arrived on this planet as an explorer. My usual tasks involved observing the flow of rivers, examining the materials of the city's bricks and tiles, analyzing the steepness of roads, and documenting the number and distribution of chimneys... These duties aligned with people's imagination of preserving a planet's 'memories.'" — However, such efforts were far from sufficient. Once I started working in secrecy, I would often come across that girl. Sometimes, sunlight would dance through the leaves as she walked beneath them, disappearing around corners once the street lamps illuminated the surroundings. On other occasions, her gaze would follow a carrier pigeon, which left the High Priest's quarters every Wednesday night, only to return the following morning to the palace's chief of the guards — a known political adversary of the High Priest. Occasionally, she would quietly observe rain trickling into sewers scarred by artillery fired from the opposite shore. And sometimes, waves would dampen her skirts, while an elderly woman washing clothes by the river recounted the story of the previous sovereign and his five illegitimate children. — Few individuals, apart from us, understand that a planet conceals and safeguards its "memories" in such a manner. I trailed behind her until we reached a rock on the moor. I knew that it was the time to invite her. "What do you see?" I asked, in a form visible to her. She pointed at a patch of weeds and the lingering traces. "I see a stone, perhaps once part of a fireplace... But it must hold more significance." I nodded and assisted her in removing the weeds and dirt from the crevices of the stone. "It was once a monument," she murmured, gently caressing the engravings adorning its surface. "Indeed, but the 'memory' holds more significance." Thus, I revealed to her that the stone on the moor had once served as a fireplace, a monument before that, a flowerbed, and even an altar... And before all that, it had simply been a stone on the moor. "What price would I pay if I want to witness those 'memories'?" "People will remain oblivious to your presence unless you are willing to reveal yourself." "Just as people fail to acknowledge the existence of black swans until they encounter one?" "Yes, just like that." Memokeepers travel to numerous planets, collecting the memories of each city they encounter. They are careful not to leave any trace of their presence, ensuring that nobody remembers them, unless they come across someone with the potential to become a Memokeeper, whom they then take away from the city into the vast expanse of the stars. * Unlocked at Character Level |
n/a | Many individuals obsess over the glory of the past and aspire to become Memokeepers, longing to live within their memories. Such individuals often degenerate into unbridled Cremators, distorting memories to suit their preferences. However, she is different... I've sensed her unwavering determination and profound respect for memories themselves. Following tradition, I asked her three questions before making her a Memokeeper. "Will you dedicate your whole life to the collection of memories?" "I will." "Will you relinquish your physical form and embrace the transformation of self?" "I will." "If one day you cease to exist, what legacy will you leave behind for the world?" "My memories. They hold seeds from the past, destined for rebirth into the future." Memories come in various forms. Some are trivial and heartwarming, while others are grand and expansive. Some are gentle and meek, while others are wild and untamed... When she became a Memokeeper, her memories became tranquil and serene, like the calm waves that finally found their destined harbor. "What comes to your mind?" The Memokeeper asked. As she opened her eyes, fragments of memories swirled around her. "People tend to believe they are facing the present and the future, yet fail to realize that we are all, in fact, moving toward the past." * Unlocked at Character Level |

This opulent memory, adorned with ostentation and longing, conceals an unknown sadness that will linger for years, influencing its owner for an extended period." "A joyous memory from ██. This dramatic memory is filled with vibrant hues of joy, confusion, and humor, but it can hardly be called true happiness. Such is the future it portrays." "A regrettable memory from ██. The fleeting happiness in this memory is beautiful yet short-lived, like a shooting spark from faded ashes. Cherish your limited moment, dear guest, for it informs me that it shall soon vanish." "A vague memory from ██. This memory is faint, chaotic, and disorienting, akin to an endless downpour with no respite in sight. I yearn to capture the future it points to, whether it be filled with rain or sunshine..." "I saw the figure of a woman, gracefully leaping and transforming amidst images and patterns. No... I'm not crazy, I did indeed see 'her.' I remember her voice, its velvety texture, and the colorful cards in her hands, imbued with some sort of magic... Oh, and she invited me to partake in fortune-telling. She said, 'Whether you want to foresee happiness or misfortune in the future, retrieve lost possessions, or seek unexpected gains... All I need is an honest story, for the past and the future are overlapped on the same point of a single circle.' My head spun, and she exuded such gentleness. I talked so much to her, and she patiently listened to my ramblings... And then, following her divination results, I retrieved a lost mirror for a guest of the hotel! Oh, you asked what I said to her? Oh, nothing important... Just some rumors about the past..." Currently, she journeys through various realms as a diviner, uncovering memories intertwined with her Path and Aeons. She believes that those memories are as enduring as gems, impervious to the eroding forces of oblivion. "Numerous Memokeepers have ventured to Penacony, only to discover it as a mere illusory mirage dancing upon the water's surface." "However, dreams... They represent a distorted form of memories. I shall delve into its depths and catch a fleeting glimpse of the buried memories before those Memosnatchers and Cremators arrive." * Unlocked at Character Level |

who is better i get black swan, ruan mei or hanabi?
Ruan Mei obviously. Hanabi has sp regeneration which is good tho her crit dmg buff is irrelevant for dot characters. Ruan mei has res pen and break, turns out to be more beneficial to dot teams
silver wolf says that she wants this A6 too lol
Would it be better to get her E1 or her signature light cone?
both are good since she wants as many dots on the enemy but probably her lightcone since she youll might aswell buff her damage while her e1 only reduces her teams ehr needs for their dot not their other debuffs ^__^
Correction.
E1 doesn’t “reduces her teams ehr needs” that would be “Effect Hit Res reduction” look at Guinifen’s E1 it should say “reduce the attacked target enemy’s Effect RES” but Swan’s E1 says any enemy effected by the Shock, Bleed, Burn or Wind Sheer effectively reduces said corresponding element Resistance…
This means it is essentially a Damage BUFF, for your team. Look at Silverwolf, she has the same wording on “Make Changes?” which reduces the implanted element RES by 20% and also on her A3 “Side Note”, which states “If there are 3 or more debuff(s) affecting the enemy when the Skill is used, then the Skill decreases the enemy’s All-Type RES by an additional 3%.” Think of this as RES PEN for your entire team except it’s not a “BUFF”, but a DEBUFF on the enemy… RES PEN = BUFF, while Elemental Res Shred/Reduction = DEBUFF (on enemy) but they both do the same thing as far as I know!
So with all that said, to answer OP’s question… I’d argue E1 over LC, partially because Nihility has some very good 4* options for Swan (Tutorial, EotP and new 4* LC for example). Plus a 25% Elemental RES reduction for the ENTIRE team (so long as they are effected by corresponding elemental DoT) seems better overall for team damage (don’t forget Swan benefits from this too) than LC which just buffs Swan Damage. I’ll also mention I run 3x DoT comp so that’s probably why I care for team damage more.
I think her E1 is much better because there are very good 4 star LC options for her like Eyes of prey.
I would say e1 because tutorial and the new nihility cone as 4 stars seem almost as good and an effect res multiplier is more valuable
Can she be used outside of Kafka teams or nah? Maybe she can be paired with Acheron?
from leaks, Acheron is on the “cripple and kill” strategy like Dr Ratio is (more debuffs = more damage boosts), rather than dots. She probably won’t have much synergy with Black Swan.
Notably, Acheron looks like she’ll want crit stats.
Oh you actually need to Level her BA, since it has independent Application scaling, lovely
45000% scale dmg DoT!!??
So Kafka hyper enables her. Kafka Dot Detonations don’t trigger Sacrament stacks, but only the base DoT while it will stack black swan’s DoT(which is only 240% AtK without windshear stacking, instead it’s possible that it gets the damage stacking at least). Edge case question would be if it explodes 4/5 times after ult when it counts as all 4 DoT types or only once (the reasonable outcome).
Black Swan while fine in Single target looks to be a monster in AoE and blast (with her blast DoT), but the only multi target DoT appliers are Sampo (bounce luck), and Gui (blast). and only Kafka and Gui can detonate in AoE (both with only ults).
My guess is that Double DoT Kafka Black swan will work, but instead of running another harmony, Gui would be better for BS damage, but Mei or Asta would be better for Team damage?
Kafka also applies her dot to all enemies with her ult (and then detonates it).
What is the recommended effect hit rate on her? e1 or lc?
157% ehr and definitely lc.
(calculation for ehr: (1÷0.65÷0.6)-1 = 1.56.41…)
E1 if u have tutorial or incessant rain
Black Swan kit breakdown/interpretation of sorts. I’ve sprinkled in comments here and there but I do wish we had markdown to make wall of texts like these a bit more palatable.
TALENT — Sacrament is a 240% Atk Wind-type DoT and is able to stack up, further adding 12% to the multiplier. Max 99 stacks.
1.) At the start of an enemy’s turn, when it takes damage from other DoTs, there’s a 65% base chance to apply Sacrament.
[ # Sacrament is bound to be later in the DoT order anyway, but this restacking effect guarantees that. This is somewhat? relevant to get more stacks before the next effect.]
2.) When Sacrament triggers at the start of an enemy’s turn, bonus effects will also be triggered depending on stack count:
3+ stacks = 180% Atk Wind-type DoT dealt to adjacent targets.
7+ stacks = the triggered DoT [Sacrament proc on the current enemy and the bonus 180% on adjacent] ignores 20% Def.
[ # Just to reiterate, these bonus effects are only when Sacrament triggers at the start of an an enemy’s turn. They can’t be triggered when force-proc’d.]
3.) Afterwards, Sacrament resets to 1 stack.
BASIC — up to 65% base chance to apply Sacrament.
Has a 65% base chance to apply further Sacrament stacks per WShear, Bleed, Burn, or Shock effect.
SKILL — Blast attack with 100% base chance to apply Sacrament and reduce Def by 20.8% for 3 turns.
ULTIMATE — AoE attack that also applies Epiphany on enemies for 2 turns.
– Epiphany causes Sacrament to be treated as WShear, Bleed, Burn, *and* Shock.
– During the enemy’s turn, Epiphany applies a 25% Dmg Amp.
– Prevents Sacrament from resetting stacks at the start of the enemy’s turn for *1 time*.
[ # Being treated as the 4 DoT types is relevant when BA and Skill (w/ A2) allows you to reapply Sacrament multiple times based on how many DoTs the enemy has.]
A2 — Skill has a 65% base chance to apply further Sacrament stacks per WShear, Bleed, Burn, or Shock effect.
[ # They granted the same effect from BA to her Skill.]
A4 — When an enemy target takes DoT damage during an ally’s attack, there is a 65% base chance to further apply Sacrament for each DoT that hit, up to 3x Sacrament stacks.
[ # They used “receives DoT” here which is for when an enemy takes DoT damage. As this effect triggers during an allied attack, this means it requires force-proc abilities.
– Kafka — requires a 3rd DoT source for consistency (to not rely on Break DoT), which her Sig LC solves. Or just run triple DoT I guess?
– Sampo E4 — In his case, it’s bound to be more spread out due to the bounces. I must note that Sacrament will only be treated as Wind Shear while Epiphany is active on the enemy.
– Luka Enh BA, esp with E6 — without E6, Luka will need multiple Bleed sources (Skill Bleed, Break Bleed, Sacrament w/ Epiphany). E6 makes it easier since the 3-6 punches from Enh BA will also proc Bleed.
– Gui Ult — similar issue with requiring multiple Burn sources (Skill Burn, Break Burn, Sacrament w/ Epiphany).]
A6 — 60% of Black Swan’s EHR is converted to Dmg%. Max 72% Dmg (req. 120% EHR).
[ # Majority of Black Swan’s kit has a 65% base chance, which requires ~156.41% EHR to max out. This is a tall ask without an EHR LC as you only have 53.2% EHR with Body pc and her Traces. The F2P players who missed the SW event are taking a big L here.
– Toning it down to 120% EHR still gives her 65% proc effects an 85.8% chance. If you only hit 100% EHR, that’s still a 78% chance.
– Just to put this here, with -10% Eff Res (Gui E2 or Black Swan E4) her EHR req goes down to ~119.78%, which explains the 120% EHR cap for the Dmg% conversion.]
E1 — While Black Swan is in battle, WShear, Bleed, Burn, or Shock causes the enemy target to have -25% Res to the respective effect’s element.
E2 — When an enemy affected by Sacrament dies, 100% base chance to apply 5 stacks of Sacrament to adjacent targets.
E4 — Epiphany also reduces Eff Res by 10%. Black Swan gains 8 Energy when an Epiphany-affected enemy starts their turn or dies. This effect can only trigger once per enemy for each Epiphany cast.
[ # Lowers her EHR req as mentioned above. Also an 8~40 Energy refund for her Ult.]
E6 — When Black Swan’s allies attack, there’s a 65% base chance to apply Sacrament to the enemies hit by the attack.
Each time Black Swan applies Sacrament, there’s a 50% fixed chance to add 1 more stack.
[ # That’s a lot of stacks.]
So does anyone know for sure, can Kafka trigger the Sacrament? Or does it not exactly count as a DoT, and won’t be triggered?
It a wind DoT that isnt’ wind shear, Kafka detonates all DoTs (not just burn bleed windshear shock). so she should detonate Sac, but Swan’s Talent specifies the addtional effects of Stacking sac only take effect on enemy turn start. so no Blast Dot, and only the minor Damage bump from stacking
To piggyback off the previous comment, Swan’s talent specifically calls it a “Wind DoT” damage which Kafka indiscriminately is able to blow up with her Skill and (A2) Ultimate.
What’s even crazier to me, isn’t Kafka doing Kafka things, we know her and Swan gonna be besties… No, It’s the fact that Black Swan enables OTHER DoT units to get in on the fun and detonate her massive Sacrament Damage! Look at her Ultimate… It says specifically when she ults enemies, they will be afflicted with “Epiphany”, which allows Sacrament to be regarded as Burn, Bleed, Shock and Wind Sheer… Meaning Luka, Sampo and Gui are able to detonate her massive DoT as well as their own… CRAZY!
So while yes you’d “ideally” want Kafka with Swan, you could also run her with other DoT units and she’ll perform wonderfully!
How about Kafka/Sampo/Black Swan/Huo Huo? Or is it better to replace sampo with SW?
