Question:
During Blackswan’s ult appplied to an enemy,
then an enemy takes actions with an extra turn. But before that extra turn kicks in, You used your archeron’s ult. The question here is does BS’ vulnerability debuff during that enemy’s “extra” action be added on archeron’s damage calculation during her ultimate?
I think yes.
Apart from Clara’s counterattacks, Attacks (often Ultimates) casted in between multiple extra actions of a Boss do benefit from the Dmg Amp.
Also upon testing, if you also let out an Ultimate even during their last action as long as it’s before their turn ends (similar to when you might chain your Ultimate before your character’s turn ends to benefit from a buff that’s expiring), does benefit from the Dmg Amp.
Just wanna remind though that only the current enemy taking their turn will be affected, so any Blast/AoE type attacks (e.g. BS’s 3-stack Blast, Clara’s Enhanced Counter) won’t be affected.
UNLESS, Arche, BS, Simpo, and Asta(does her skill burn?)
OK. So Asta doesn’t burn, but if I were to put that one Luka Pearl LC on Simpo, one turn Ult???!!!??
Multiple debuffs from a single action dont give increased Ult stacks, Sampo already has a debuff on everything he does so you can’t increase his ability to stack Acheron any further with any lightcone
She burn on basic though with major trace.
She better work with Black Swan. if BS Arcana stacks don’t count as febuffs inflicted from skill, even though that’s exactly what they are, Arche prob can’t hypercarry then.
appearently not because the debuff thats can trigger more arcana is dot debuffs , while her (acheron) debuff is a general or stat debuf (like sw) afaik , so no extra arcana will be trigerred, she seems to be more resembles destruction character rather than nihility imo beacuse of the quite high damage scallings, but it doesnt me she will not benefit from BS cuz the more debuffs enemy has the more frequent you can spam her ult
There are already comments ( like the one below your ) already confirm BS work with Acheron. So you are good
As of 22th Feb 2024:
1. Enemy entering combat with a debuff stacks for Archeron? (BS, SW E2+)
No.
2. Enemy gaining debuff at the begining of their turn stacks for Archeron? (BS, Gui)
No.
3. “Trend of the Universal” stacks for Archeron?
Yes, it always does.
4. RSAPS, Kafka’s sig lc, and SW’s sig lc, stack for Archeron?
Yes, only if the enemy does not already have the light cones’ debuff.
5. Archeron’s sig lc stacks for Archeron?
Yes, it always does.
6. Enemies that explode when killed and applies debuff to other enemies stack for Archeron?
Yes. Each instance that explodes stacks for Archeron once.
7. Replenishing an already present debuff stacks for Archeron?
Yes. Note that some light cones specifically implies that the debuff applying effect only happens if the enemy does not already have it, which seems redundant but prevents stacking for Archeron if the eneny already has it.
Thank you for the information Dazz(answer some of my questions). I’m looking forward to your future reports!
This is wrong, go see the footage of kafka+acheron and you can see every time she takes a turn to apply the lc debuff it counts. Those light cone have weird wording, they allow you to reapply the debuff but do not allow multiple instances of it.
Does her “Crimson Knot” count as a debuff or just a different thing?
I’m wondering if the Diver of Dead Waters set works for her…..
Occasion 1: Crimson Knot doesn’t count as a debuff. You need Archeron’s sig lc in order for the said relic set to work.
Occasion 2: Crimson Knot counts as a debuff but adding Crimson Knot does not trigger Archeron’s talent to add more, which isn’t implied in her kit. You don’t have to use Archeron’s sig lc to enable the said relic set.
there is no ‘occasion’, the crimson knot does not have the arrow down icon of a debuff, therefore it is not a debuff.
So Archeron can’t activate the said set unless pull for E0S1 at least lol
Thank you! Meaning Little Gui is out of the equation…Since I don’t have Pela I was planing to build E1 Gui as a substitute (I already have SW), would she be as viable in an Acheron team?
guinaifen applies burn consistently every turn that can stack acheron… she is a good option
1 and 2 are wrong. There’s a caveat where they do work.
As of 23th Feb 2024:
1. Known occasions that work for Archeron:
– Black Swan’s normal, skill, and ult.
– Black Swan’s technique.
– Black Swan’s E6. (No more than one Crimson Knot per attack.)
– Ruan Mei’s ult. (Attacking an enemy that already has RM’s flower does NOT reaplly it.)
– Talents that add an debuff when the character attacks, such as Silver Wolf’s talent and Sampo’s talent.
– Light cones that add an debuff when the wearer attacks, such as RSAPS, Kafka’s sig lc, and SW’s sig lc. (Some specifically implied that the debuff cannot be reapplied if the enemy already has it. However there are saying that it was a wierd wording that only means no more than once instance per enemy and the debuff itself can be reapplied. I’m not sure if that’s true. I will test with RSAPS when I have time and leave a comment here when I know something new.)
– Light cones that add an debuff when the wearer gets attacked, namely “Trend of the Universal”.
– Enemies that explode and apply debuff to other enemies when killed.
– Enemies that add debuff to itself in some occasions.
– Techniques that start the fight and immediately attack the enemy and apply a debuff by either the technique’s effect, the character’s talent, or the character’s lc.
2. Known occasions that do NOT work for Archeron:
– Black Swan’s major trace causing an enemy to enter combat with a stack of Arcana.
– Black Swan’s E2.
– Black Swan’s Arcana stack increasing as an enemy takes damage from DoT at the begining of its turn.
– Black Swan’s Arcana stack increasing as an enemy takes Arcana’s splash damage at the beginging of another enemy’s turn.
– Black Swan’s Arcana stack increasing as an enemy takes damage from DoT during an ally’s attack.
– Guinaifen’s talent causing the enemy to gain vulnerability as it takes damage from burn.
– Silver Wolf’s E2 causing the enemy to enter combat with a debuff that says “-20% effect res”.
3. Occasions that I’m not sure:
– Techniques that apply a debuff to the enemy but do not start the fight after casting it, aside from BS’s.
4. Reapplying a debuff stacks for Archeron?
Yes.
5. “Crimson Knot” counts as a debuff?
No.
Sorry, posted in the wrong place.
From the few footage i saw, the enemy sometimes gain 1 stack at the start of an (ally?) unit turn do you have any idea why ?
does guin e6 firekiss debuff also work well with her?
Is she gonna be like overpower powercreep?
I want to pull her but i want to pull sparkle too because i have e5 qingque, cant do both coz im too broke.
she’s seems very strong , but she doesn’t seem overpowered , at least not without E2S1
Overall MoC tier she’s the strongest character at E0 only held back by her teammates (not likely to be the best 0 cycle clearer yet, blame Pela Silver Wolf and their anti synergy of rainbow team), and if it’s about aoe (vs 5 elites) she also won’t be surpass Kafka Black Swan just yet, main appeal i find about her however…. insta kill QoL in SU is a real deal…..
To pull Acheron is like to collect a Raiden tier unit in your account, it is inevitable that sooner or later she will be the meta of lightning dps, of course she won’t be just the only one, so you can rest assured, a day of her rerun will also eventually come too.
Sparkle is as great making this choice really hard but it’s your to decide..
So Acheron is a Raiden tier unit…
Which isn’t really surprising since she is Raiden…
Ya, you totally right!
you cant call her the ‘strongest character at e0’ and then say that they can clear fast easily. e0 acheron is in a similar spot to dhil right now: she is only truely broken at e2.
Sorry, probably I miss-read, but Crimson Knot is really counted as a debuff ? Doesn’t seems like it with how they phrased it and the preview in-game combat.
Meaning if Acheron doesn’t have her signature LC (worst scenario) and does her skill, she put the Crimson Knot but doesn’t proc Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters second part ? (Double the bonus if wearer apply a debuff)
Correct me ASAP
I don’t think Crimson Knot itself counts as a debuff, or Archeron adding Crimson Knot using her skill triggers her talent and adds an additional Crimson Knot to the enemy, which isn’t instinctive.
Does the “Thunder Core” trace function as bounce damage?
I heard that it function like what Argenti’s 180 energy ult used to be: it bounces to already dead enemies.
Hopefully it is a bug again and get fixed sooner or later.
Oh damn I hope that gets fixed!
In the CN text when machine tl’d it does say “to a random enemy.”
Feels like EN beta text always has mistakes or missing info here and there, unfortunately.
Alright thanks!
Hypercarry Acheron team:
Acheron E6S5
Fu Xuan E1
Black Swan E2S1
Sparkle E2~E4S5
This is a nuke setup that allows you focus Acheron very little Crit Rate with massive ATK and Crit dmg potential at the top of def shred and all multipliers provided with this comp. You’d want about 25 to 30% Crit rate ideally so you can get Extra Crit rate from new planar set and more ATK, Fu Xuan E1 boosts CDmg and already built in Crit Rate buff, Sparkle insane cdmg scaling and Crit rate buff, you won’t achieve 100% Crit rate but you will have insanely overpowered stats.
Pros: Absolute Nuke
Cons: Your wallet will suffer, non f2p friendly at all, even to spenders.
Pela is better than black swan here and at e6s5 i recommend running nihility-harmony-harmony
i think the BS pick here is to make all of your team indirectly apply a debuff using BS A4? talent that applys arcana stacks on every allied atk
pela probably would dish out bigger numbers tho
That is not how black swan a4 works. a4 only adds a stack ON A DOT PROC not any attack, unless you have e6 swan
she need two debuffer in her team right
the team you suggested costs like $5k USD…
They are getting off track with character path lol, there is really nothing Nihility about Acheron except All-type RES but it is during Ult only, and maybe ignore toughness weakness type during Ult too ?
She would fit to be an Erudition more imo
Nah, she creams nihility, but seems to be a specialist category in prydwen classification.
Her kit philosophy is reminiscent of kafka where she deal damage from the amount of debuff the enemy have, basically shes a debuff damage dealer while erudition have more straightforward kit in how they improve their dmg
she release her highest damage potential after “crimson knot” debuff fully stacked (similar to kafka if the enemies have every elemetal dot)
A4 ask for more debuff application to trigger her “crimson knot” stack (same as kafka wants more dot in her team)
her talent reduce toughness and all-type res (this one is new)
Take a look at erudition dps and she will look like the odd one out
Argenti is the vanilla of erudition class, energy regen kit to support his double burst bar and crit buff the more enemies he face(AoE oriented)
Mid yuan, 15 energy at the start of battle, LL ask for multiple use of AoE skill so LL single hits proc more(AoE oriented)
Himeko, follow-up triggered more often if enemies keep spawning, ult regenerates energy the more enemies are defeated(AoE oriented)
Herta, follow-up same as himeko
Acheron doesn’t care if there are single or multiple enemies, her requirements to utilize her dmg is the amount of her debuff stacks
I understand, however it stills wont change my opinion they are going off path. Erudition fit her just because her Nihility doesnt suit it, so it really just come to her attack type for me
Nihity is a debuff/DoT class, which is also said by the path itself, as well as how all other current Nihility char are. Acheron has no actual initial Nihility kit beside attack that inflict debuff during Ult only ( which is still a buff in this case ).
Her nihility path reason is just require other Nihility with her and debuff on enemies, which isnt really what make her a Nihility imo. Like on her own she wont be a Nihility like every other Nihility
Adventurine still has actual Preservation kit tho
I dont think they’re going off path but instead trying to create a new path philosophy for nihility. Still focusing on debuffs but also making it a path that is universal, and ignores weakness types. Acheron ignores weakness and does damage to the toughness bar regardless, and Silverwolf can make enemies weak to the team’s respective elements. I think they recognized that as a path concept, nihility is relatively boring. It’s just debuffs and the amount of creativity you can get with it is somewhat limited. If they continued with this concept it would just be utility debuff characters and dot characters. With Acheron (and in hindsight silverwolf) they’re making nihility more interesting. Also imo Acheron is still in line with the nihility concept because her entire kit revolves around placing debuffs to charge her kit, her debuffs are just not utility, and purely focused on dmg.
That is fair, I mean I am not saying it is bad. Just it is getting off track of what the usual Nihility is ( At least apply debuff on their own )
I agree with this sentiment. Unfortunately, this was the path mihoyo was always going to take after the archetypical roles were released because otherwise they’d run into a design wall with overlapping kits. Role creep and consolidation is inevitable to keep things interesting and incentivize pulling newer units. Paths also mainly exist for balance reasons and to limit your lightcone choices so you’d pull for niche lightcones. Eventually they’ll lose their meaning and not even be a consideration so mihoyo will add path conditional buffs like what acheron has to force a limitation with their strength. We already have DEBUFFER hunts, DPS preservations(e6 aventurine), and dipping into DPS?/DEBUFFER abundance (gallagher). Adding debuffs and more damage is always on the table for characters. The least likely imo are hunts with blast/aoe skills or DPS with team heals, but don’t quote me on this since we already have eruditions with good single target outside of their skill.
That means Ratio is more nihility than hunt then according to your logic. He thrives off debuffs, similar to Acheron, but probably not to the same extent.
I mean Ratio also feel a bit weird with his debuff require kit too, but he was at least still does what Hunt does, have single target. Acheron doesn’t have debuff/DoT as her own
tho I am not exactly complaining, just it feels getting off track of what Nihility was until now xD. It does feel more interesting to me
single, blast or full area attack doesn’t determine characters path, especially when it comes to support class like abundance, harmony, preservation and, nihility
i wouldn’t be surprise to see future healer can deals blast damage, aventure follow-up attack deals AoE, hes not erudition right?
Yea it kind of doesn’t, but each of the class has something they do focus on, but some do also feel off to the initial path description/role like Jingliu ( whose hardly trade any of her own survivability ). What I meant is that Nihility has been a debuffer, regardless it lean toward DPS like Kafka/BS, etc or pure debuffing like SW, Pela, etc, there has always been a form of debuffing the enemies stats or anything that is overtime. Acheron however just flat out a DPS that thrive on Nihility teammate debuffing the enemies to gain stacks that increase her own damage. So as of how the usual Nihility goes, she is pretty much off, and cause like Ratio exists ( not like his is not weird either ) I think it would have been fine to make a different class that still thrive on Debuffs.
But I am not really complaining, just kind of funny how I feels about that, her kit is still very interesting regardless
For Jigliu, she trade the team survivability instead of her own, still cracked tho for how much she gain in return. Path overlap already exist since day 1, we just notice less, Jingliu main core is to stack her passive to buff herself with action advance forward 100% and crit rate, every other destruction only improve their atk or dmg scaling, wouldn’t that make her harmony character at the core? we still don’t know what trait makes a char destruction path, blast dmg exclusive? hook mostly single target, blade passive deal Aoe, clara skill is Aoe. Is it tankiness? hook, DHIL, misha are very squishy. or risky gameplay by giving something to get something in return ie. arlan blade giving hp to get dmg buff.
If im the dev and have to put acheron in one of the path,
she don’t fit with destruction enough, only her skill does blast dmg, no risky gameplay gimic nor survivability traces
she don’t fit with erudition, i don’t see her shine in multi waves scenario more than she will be in single or 3 target, and only her burst that deal Aoe
she don’t fit with hunt, harmony, abundance or preservation for obvious reason
either force her to join nihility gang by putting nihility requirement traces or make a new path and risk the entire community backlash, she already have debuffing capability anyway so why not
I think I understand how her kit works but I have some questions left
1- since she gets a stack whenever she or her teammates apply a debuff , does that mean if I use her with pela and sw tho they have to be super fast to to stack her ultimate faster ? and what about the wind set on them so they get more turns ?
2- the description says ” whenever a unite inflicts debuffs on the enemy target –while using an ability– ,Acheron gains 1 point of Slashed Dreams … ” . does that mean that the univeral market LC should not give a stack since it triggers outside of the wearer’s turn ?
1. I mean I guess that’s true? The more often they take actions, the more debuffs, which means faster Acheron ult.
2. I heard it’s a mistranslation, so universal market would work.
1 – yes it does work like that they can stack Slashed dream really fast and the wind set could work well. Gui and Black swan can also do the job pretty well because they can use their basic attack to inflict a DOT wich count as debuffs.
2 – Trend of the Universal market actually does work because it is the ability of the lightcone and the description says: Whenever. not just while attacking. also : Inflicts a Debuff on the enemy While using a ability, even topaz can do that with the numby Target Moving after something with the mark dies because it inflicts a debuff With the ability.
some lightcones and abilities can give a stack of Crimson Knot and Slashed Dream as long it is a ability of a character. in the SU it whould not work with Nihility Path because it is not a unit that inflicts the debuff.
