I’ve seen a lot of people in the comment section Place SW and Pela in a team with Acheron. Although i’m by no means a good team crafter, my question would be: what about Ruan Mei? She boosts DMG%, and, perhaps more importantly, all damage type res pen, benefits from enemy guard break, which, if I read and understood correctly, Acheron can do quite well thanks to her talent and, although she isn’t a nihility char and it shows, she can still apply a debuff via proxy thanks to her ult.
Would she be more/less viable in an Acheron team instead of one of the two aforementioned characters? Would the answer change once Acheron reaches E2?
The problem there is Acheron’s nihility reliance
No reasonable amount of dmg% boosts can make up for that massive multiplier loss when her passive isn’t active
at E2 tho Ruan Mei seems like a decent option
Apparently, the 60% dmg boost from Acheron’s A4 trace is a unique buff different from regular dmg% bonuses. If this is true then it’s always better to bring 2 nihility units to activate the A4, rather than 1 nihility + 1 harmony.
Her E2 lets you bring a harmony though so Ruan Mei is probably her best option there.
Oh, if its a unique buff, then that would have a lot of weight, yeah.
i have a idee how i want to build my team with her. and hear the Feedback From others.
She is planned atm to be E0s1.
the team members are
pela for def shred and remove Enemys buffs,
Guinaifen for the second Nihility and her firekiss debuff.
Gepard as the tank and with the trend of universal Market lc for more debuffs and to stack firekiss faster to max stacks
sounds good on e0 acheron
if have extra budget to pull for aventurine he might be a good add on based on how offen he can shield your team than gepard also a free debuff? on his kit
just so you know, firekiss does not count as a debuff but rather a special effect, that means only her burn is consider a debuff. You would still stack the same energy for Acheron with gui’s basic and skill just fine, just a little reminder if you run GNSW on Acheron because firekiss will not count towards that debuff requirements.
It does, it’s taking DoT that doesn’t count as an action, which makes it not give energy for Acheron.
To prove it, Guinaifen ult still gives Acheron a stack, and the only debuff it can apply is firekiss.
firekiss counts as a debuff.
Between GNSW and Pearls, which 4* lightcone do people think is better for Acheron?
I believe its better to run good night and sleep well on acheron and pearls on another nihility teammate
Doesn’t pearls make enable her to get double the stacks when she attacks? Because like her skill will give her one and the debuff will give her another one?
Acheron make no use of EHR meaning she doesn’t guarantee the debuff to be applied consistantly unless you waste some substats on EHR.
Thanks! I was just wondering because using Pearls on her would let her generate more stacks of slashed dream and crimson knot on her own. But it would probably be more useful on Pela or Welt.
Definitely GNSW, but use pearls on the nihility in her team!! (sw/pela)
Haha why she so fucking weak and everyone skipping Sparkle for her :))))) I think we will never know :)))
I’m skipping Sparkle for Acheron because:
1. Raiden fan.
2. Already stacked on Harmony units and lacking DPS characters.
3. Outside of the Mono Quantum team, there is no need for her in any of my teams.
4. I am not really invested in the Sparkle character, nor do I like her in the story. Doesn’t like her design.
Please don’t feed the trolls
There would be pros and cons having to pick between Serval with Sparkle or Acheron with Robin, but as with everything, peoples that skipping her will having their own reason, don’t be unreasonable.
acheron talent say “any unit inflict debuff on enemy will using an ability will give acheron 1 slash dream and inflict crimson knot”. is it also applied to acheron herself?
Yes, if Acheron applies debuff to the enemy herself, she will also get 1 slash dream and inflict 1 crimson knot.
However, you should note that, outside of her ult, Acheron (at E0 with her base kit) doesn’t have any debuffs.
So who is her best harmony support between the 5 stars? Im assuming its sparkle but im not too sure
Acheron has a bunch of damage amp which means harmony who mainly give damage amp is simply bad on her even if she didn’t have the trace that locked her teammate options.
However she has zero def shred meaning SW + Pela (RSASP) is good on her with little waste.
– SW ult has 45% def reduction at level 10. She sometimes give +10% def reduction by talent at level 10.
– Pela ult has 42% def reduction at level 12.
– RSASP has 12% def reduction at S5.
So it’s 99% def reduction in total, or 109% with SW’s talent.
sadly i dont have SW and since i plan on getting e2 i was curious as to which harmony would be best to pair with her
If you are determined so use Sparkle or Bronya since Acheron gains a free stack each turn and having more turns won’t hurt.
SW’s Talent is 8% Def reduc. The 10% debuff is towards Atk.
Resolution S5 is 16% Def reduc. 12% is S1.
I need more sleep lol
thats not how it works u cant add % together like that, lets say an enemy has 1000 DEF and SW reduces it to 45% that means the enemy still has now 550 DEF now if you add another DEF shredding character you will have to subtract from the now existing 550 DEF and not the 1000 DEF we started on so 42% DEF shred from 550 DEF is now 231 DEF and so on you will never be able to exceed 100% of DEF
No, that’s not how it works. Def shred sums together. However a unit can never have negative def.
Lil bro posting the same misinformation in every fing comment.
You heard you cant exceed 100% def and decided its time to pull numbers from your ass?
You cant go past 100%, because the enemy cant have a negative defence, it defaults to 0.
this is not how percentages work, you will never be able to exceed 100% of DEF shred since its a set number. Lets say the enemy has 1000 DEF and SW shreds that enemies DEF with her ultimate (45%) now the enemy has 550 DEF left, next Pela Ult shreds 42% from the now existing 550 DEF and not the original 1000 DEF we started on so now the enemy has 231 DEF left and now SW shreds another 8% so now the enemy has 212.52 DEF. The DEF Number gets smaller but can never be negative.
What in the misinformation?? Did you even look at the def multiplier formula before posting this??
Go on the Wiki, it’s: (Level_Attacker + 20)/[(Level_Enemy + 20) * (1 + %DefBonus – %DefReduction – %DefIgnore) + Level_Attacker + 20]
It’s also: 1 – (Def/[Def + 200 + 10 * Level_Attacker])
It’s literally the same as the above one, but is applied to attacking enemies only as enemies have a formula for their defense based on their level.
I’m going to use your own example of a 1k defense enemy, this means that the enemy is level 80 since the formula for enemy defense is 200 + 10*Level (except for trotters). We’re going to assume our attacker is level 80 as well.
Let’s start with 0 def shred.
(80 + 20)/[(80 + 20) * (1) + 80 + 20] = 0.5
With the other formula: 1 – (1000/[1000 + 200 + 10 * 80]) = 0.5
So now we fill the formula with SW’s shred.
(80 + 20)/[(80 + 20) * (1 – 45%) + 80 + 20] = 0.6451612903
And let’s use: 1000 * (1 – 45%) = 550 and fill in the other formula.
1 – (550/[550 + 200 + 10 * 80]) = 0.6451612903
So far you are right, however this is where you get wrong.
And now let’s add Pela’s Def Shred:
(80 + 20)/[(80 + 20) * (1 – 45% -42%) + 80 + 20] = 0.8849557522
And let’s use 1000 * (1 – 45% -42%) = 130 where we sum both def reductions additively, and use the other formula:
1 – (130 /[130 + 200 + 10 * 80]) = 0.8849557522
Oh so weird! It matches despite the fact we’re not following how “percentages work” according to you!
Now let’s use how YOU think percentage work (1000 * (1 – 45%))*42% = 231 with the other formula
1 – (231 /[231 + 200 + 10 * 80]) = 0.8123476848
All of a sudden it doesn’t match. This is because you think def shred are multiplicative, when they are actually additive. What you are implying is that def shred has diminishing returns, and the more you stack it, the less effective it gets, but it’s actually the complete opposite. Def Reduction combined with Def Ignore are one of the only stats in the game that have no diminishing returns, and the more you stack it, the more damage you gain, until you reach the cap of 100% which means the enemy would have 0 defense, and you can’t have negative defense, which is the only thing you’re right about.
Depends on how deep you go with her. For example, if you go E2, you can get a harmony. Add SW into the mix and an E2 sparkle and you got yourself
45% from SW ult def shred
12~15% from LC
24% from E2 Sparkle
8% from bug
Sparkle also brings lots of critbuffs to the table that Acheron doesnt provide much of (+ essentially 60+ spd buff since you can skip shoes and run with 161spd sparkle)
If youre that deep, you probably can even dare a quantum set on her instead, since your crit buffs gonna be overkill already, and approaching 100% defshred gives you the biggest boosts (80% def shred = 72% bonus -> 100% defshred = 110% bonus might outperform the critbuffs)
But yeah its rly hard to give a generalized answer, depends on your roster, your LCs, your Investment in Acheron and other support units etc etc etc
Will the Quantum Set be good on her ? Assuming you are playing her with Pela and Silver Wolf, and even Ruan Mei E1 if you have Acheron E2, you can stack a lot of Def down / sheard, so maybe it can be not too far behind the Pioneer set ? Or is the crit value of the Pioneer set too good to pass ?
SW + pela is already over 100% def down, and you can’t reduce the enemy defense past 0
Actually, if the defence multiplier formula in the wiki is correct,
everything you get above 100% defence reduction becomes a damage amplifier.
Therefore, there is nothing negative about overstacking def-shred debuffs.
Def reduction above 100% does nothing. You can test this in game.
1. Cast SW’s ult and Pela’s ult on an enemy that is Quantum weak. Neither has RSASP.
2. Cast Seele’s ult on the enemy and note the damage. She has Quantum set. If se doesn’t crit, redo until she crits.
3. Give SW or Pela with RSASP and do it again.
4. Cast Seele’s ult on the enemy and note the damage. If se doesn’t crit, redo until she crits.
You should notice that the damage is the same.
Well, I did exactly that:
Test subject – Stagnant Shadow: Shape of Blaze lvl 70
1. Sample one . Overall def reduction is 113% (8+40+45+20). Seele did 100740 crit + 6419 break;
2. Sample two. Overall def reduction is 120% (40+45+20+15). Seele did 100740 crit + 6419 break.
There is no need to obtain further samples.
Conclusion: above 100% defence reduction is doing nothing.
I’ve decided to test for myself as well (have BS, SW, Pela) and cross-checked with my sheets, and it does seem to be the case.
To give an example what happens *without* the above rule:
E0 SW (45%+8%) + E6 Pela (42%) + S5 Resolution LC (16%) goes up to 111% Def reduc. Against a theoretical lvl 90 Enemy, that changes the Def multiplier from 0.4762x to 1.1377x. Seems unassuming, right?
Now let’s factor in E0S1 BS (20.8%), assuming the DoT set (18%) and her LC (28.8%) are working at max stacks. That makes for a grand total of 178.6% together with SW/Pela and changes the Def multiplier to an astounding 7.3855x. This absolutely will not fly, hence the rule.
Yeah, too good to be true.
So if we go back to the OP question, does it mean that in a team with SW and Pela, Quantum Set contributes nothing to Acheron?
This will only increase your damage onto the adjacent/distant enemies since SW can’t realistically debuff them, yet you lose out on main target damage.
It’s hardly worth it when you’re losing ~8% on the main target, yet the overall gains against 5 enemies throughout using 3 Skills + 1 Ult is just ~1.2%.
Ancheron might be the most overhyped character out there lmfaoo. This terrible, barely serviceable kit is being so heavily hyped??? Loool, she’s shaping up the be THE WORST limited DPS, the average person could pull for.
Her damage looks underwhelming and Awfully distributed, Teambuilding is severely gimped and Lightcone choices inexistent. She follows the most bloated Element for Damage Dealers and doesn’t differentiate herself from the competition. All the Self buffing looks impressive… because you CAN’T slot in a Harmony unit. There’s no Asta/RM/Sparkle/Hanya/Bronya to allow you to run 0 Speed subs, reaching high crit will also be a pain
Slashed Dreams is by far the worst mechanic a DPS can have. Not only does her ULT deal all her damage, but she gets it incredibly slowly and it doesn’t reward you for overkilling enemies. If an elite is at 20% HP, you’ll HAVE to ult, and have a terrible rotation 2nd wave. Don’t even get me started on the non-existent 0 cycle performance, or overfilling “energy” (Using Debuffer ult despite being at 9 points)
I don’t know what are you talking about.
1. What’s wrong with GNASL as a lc choice?
2. She has impressive self buffing so how can this be a bad thing? You don’t want Harmony unit in her team anyway, instead you want as much debuffer as possible.
3. No character so far as overkilling compensation.
This is why your parents abandon you bro
Get a proper life, job at least.. thank me later (y)
Acheron is in fact overwhelmingly strong when you team her well. She is unforgivingly awful however if you are determined to have a Harmony unit in her team regardless, especially those popular ones that are seemingly good for every DPS that crits.
She might be very good with harmony unit… if you have e2s1 XDDD
Like with action advance from bronya/sparkle she will apply 6 stacks very quickly, then aa pela (sweat lc), ult and (Asta aa/pyro MC with universal market skill/aventurine/gallagher…) and Acheron ults. Then repeat and ult again.
So you’re telling us you want every new DPS to be the next Jingliu or DHIL?
🤡
Good thing people like you don’t make games.
Quite the contrary, it’s good that not every new DPS outperforms the other, I’m glad we agree 🙂
I’m just simply annoyed by the constant, disingenuous parroting that goes around. People spamming powercreep when talking about Acheron, disregarding her flaws and misguiding casual players, when performance wise she’s average at best (With tons of issues, other plug and play DPSses don’t have to deal with)
There’s a surge of YouTube videos in which content creators tell you to Skip Sparkle, as if the 3rd Lightning DPS has something special over a Harmony Character virtually every DPS can run, which pushes the boundaries of Hyper carry teams.
Suggesting Acheron as an Upgrade over Jing Yuan, as if their performance isn’t awfully similar (They even share the same flaws: Backloaded damage, reliant on Signature, unplayable against CC).
Or even worse, promoting her as a Generalist DPS. More than just a Lightning Character, since she breaks all elements, as if she still doesn’t have to deal with innately higher Lightning RES.
1. Whoever spammed powercrypt regarding Acheron, you argue with them.
2. Whoever suggested you to pull Acheron and skip Sparkle, you go and argue with them.
3. Every character suffer from combat type resistance that monsters may have. For what purpose you mention that specifically?
Why are you so obsessed with other peoples opinions in the first place? Why waste your energy to try to prove em wrong? Let the newbies who are too lazy to do research pull for an unit that gonna turn out shit in their roster, and maybe chuckle at them then. Or better yet, touch some grass.
Yeah shes limited and kinda “mid” imo compared to the hype around her, but then again i think lot of the hype has less to do with her kit and more about her being “another Mei”.
At the end of the day, depending on MoC buffs and enemies offered, she’ll have a niche role where she’ll outperform others, and enough roles where she wont. Use your half a braincell to realize it and move on with your day fam lmao
So far i feel like Sparkle is simply a variant of Bronya, she just work in different teams.
she is THE Harmony for DHIL, QQ, Seele, and JingYuan. but second or third best on other teams where RuanMei (Dual FU and DOTs DPS) and Bronya (Blade and other dps where you have enough SP) is best.
The problem for me this, i only have E6 QQ and she work well enough with Tingyun saving some SP in that mono quantum team. and i already have the Bronya and Ruan Mei with their correct DPS.
“Most bloated element for damage dealers”
That would be destruction, with 4 dedicated 5* DPSes, and a 5th one likely coming soon
I understand what you meant though he was talking about elements, not paths and also no one can say a path is bloated because they are meant to specialize in what the path was designed for.
Oh yeah sorry I misread that
Also for clarity I love destruction but in .x they released a 5* destruction for 3 patches in a row while there were 2 total eruditions, 4 patches apart and 3 hunts, but more evenly spread (and 1 of them isn’t a dedicated dps)
1.X*
(also I own every 5* destruction and enjoy them all so no hate)
0 iq take 🐶💔
Tell me you are being satire because this is dumb to the next level.
Based.
Nah most people agree she’s gonna be in a great spot on release. I think you’re forgetting that nihility units, unlike harmony, act as sub-dps units and will keep up the team dps between uses of her ultimate.
Also her ult doesn’t auto trigger when she reaches full stacks, so you won’t be ‘forced’ to ult on low-hp bosses.
Your only valid complaint here is that her 4* LC options aren’t ideal, as GNSW and pearls are both gacha only. But they aren’t ‘non-existent’.
Acheron: ult doesn’t auto tigger when full stack
JY: LL doesn’t auto trigger when full stack
Wow, what a surprising similarity 🙂
I wish lightning lord triggered immediately at 10 stacks, that would be epic
I wish we can trigger LL manually (with basic attack, probably idk), so we can stack LL to 10 and summon him when the moment arise (just like what JY did in the main story)
Well the difference is Acheron can be triggered manually while Jing Yuan just has to wait…
Clowen
i love people who doompost unit pre-release and then begging for it when it releases
can someone explain her technique? What’s red karma? Can we defeat every single overworld small mobs in SU? Because screw DPS, i want the technique even more lmao
V2 changes:
1. The technique is buffed so she attacks each enemy, dealing damage of 200% attack scaling, reducing toughness bypassing weakness, just like SW’s technique, and even more, this effect triggers at the begining of every wave, not just the first wave. However you don’t get 2 stacks of Crimson Knot immediately at the begining of the battle, instead you get 1 stack of Crimson Knot after Acheron casts her first ult in this battle.
2. The major trace that grants 4 stacks of Crimson Knot at the begining of the battle now grants 5 stacks.
3. The ult vulnerability from her eidolon 4 lasts 3 turns now, not just 2 turns.
okay
Already V2 changes ? we still have like 1 month until next patch…
Does that mean there is a possibility they change her more ?
There are rumors that there will only be V3 for this time. Can’t be sure of that.
Hi can someone explain the technique buff in V2 for me?
Does she gain the 1 stack only for the “first” ultimate after the battle starts, or first ultimate in each wave or after every ultimate in the battle?
Also the sentence starts with “When inflicting weakness break”, so I am a bit confused if that applies for the ultimate stack as well.
1. First ult in each wave.
2. No, the additional stack after the ult cast is independant to the sentense and does not require the technique attack to break any weakness. It just specifies what happens when toughenss bar is broken this way.
I actually misunderstood the new technique in the first place. The additional stack is in fact gained for first ult in each wave, not just the first ult in the battle.
bruh is so hard to get crit rate by using crit dmg cloth unless ur e 1
No worry. You get +20% crit rate in total from relic set effects.
i am telling you 86%crit rate seele are miss all the time.
my 90%crit rate jingyuan are also miss crit
(how i know, i use crit rate buff only without atk%, & with 100%crit rate his 10stack LL deal more dmg than than usual)
bet this gonna happen on acheron with multiple hit dmg.
