n/a | An elegant and handsome blond young man who carries a giant coffin on his back. As an intergalactic merchant, he was unfortunately caught in the Xianzhou Luofu's Stellaron crisis. And that is how he found his mastery of medicine to come in handy. |
n/a | "What's your occupation?" "Traveling merchant." "What is the purpose of your entry?" "Commercial business." "Do you vow not to violate the laws and regulations of the Xianzhou Alliance, to conduct business activities in accordance with the law, and not to conduct activities outside the scope of the visa permit?" "Of course. I will follow the law." "Do you vow not to conduct any illegal research related to immortality?" "I... promise." "Great, please sign here." "Mr. Luocha, welcome to the Xianzhou Luofu." |
n/a | "Hey, do you still remember that guy? Came here often, carries a huge box..." "You mean Luocha?" "Yeah, Luocha... He's an Outworlder, right? But from the way he works and speaks, he feels like those older Xianzhou natives. Has he lived here for long? But then again, he had kept his unique and exotic fashion style..." "Who knows? Maybe it's because his blond hair doesn't match the clothing of Xianzhou." He would sometimes think of home. The devils, the church, the insanity... None of those are good memories. People would clamber to high places in groups just so they could witness their city's demise. If everything were to end, then there shall be at least one witness. "Why do you still wear the clothes of your home world?" Someone asked. "It reminds me of the path I must keep treading. That is all," Luocha answered. |
n/a | The people of Xianzhou do not recognize coffins. Each time Luocha emerged on the streets with the coffin, curious gaze followed. If someone were to ask him, "What exactly is this?" Luocha will answer, vaguely, "This is the tool of my trade." "Tool of my trade... I hope I didn't offend you," Luocha stood in a pavilion in the Exalting Sanctum, murmuring to himself, "But then again, our relationship does count as a business relationship, doesn't it?" The coffin responded with silence. |
n/a | Luocha carried the coffin on his back and headed into the distance. The coffin made no sound. It did not protest and had no right to protest. "When you keep silent, you are free." The curtains closed, and he left the guilt behind. Guilt is just another weapon to be controlled, a lie one tells themselves to believe they will one day obtain a correct answer. "What's so different about you? Is your pain more valuable and more moving than other people's?" "Go to the Xianzhou," the one who gave him the coffin said, "Don't forget your promise." "Never." Luocha promised, but silently made another vow. |

It’s a shame people don’t understand the value of this character.
He doesn’t require signature LC, he has a rare and strong element, has a passive heal that doesn’t require skill points, has a cheap ultimate, has auto-use skill when an ally’s HP is less than 50%, has debuff removal with his skill, and removal of buffs from enemies with his ult, and along with this, 100% resistance to the effect on him is VERY easy to achieve, also receives a buff from allies, which can increase the attack of the whole team (yukong, bronya, asta, he even gets a nice buff from Fleet of the Ageless that you put on 2-3/4 characters in a team).
This character is the perfect representation of a defensive slot on your team. It has everything your team needs to play comfortably. Looking at Leaks, you will not even see similar characters, except for a 4 * qua healer, who is very likely to be worse than Luocha. If you really think that such an incredibly strong and handy healer is skip, then you probably just want to suffer lol. I’ll get him even with Bailu and Gepard because he’s SIGNIFICANTLY stronger than both of them.
you’re so right! people calling luocha “just another healer” have no idea how valuable his kit is in terms of skill point usage and constant healing. i literally skipped silver wolf for him( though i do plan to pull for her in her eventual rerun) but skipping luocha when there’s such a significant lack of characters being able to sustain your team is shooting yourself in the foot. and that’s not even to mention his synergy with future destruction units like blade and jingliu.
people like to argue that your main dps unit is what matters to clear floors and that “damage is the most important thing LOL just kill them before they kill you” but what’s gonna happen in the future when floors get harder and enemies’ hp/atk increases? people seem to forget that genshin’s 1.0-2.0 abyss was practically a cakewalk compared to what we have to deal with now.
Oh, yes, this is the same Loucha simp that doomposts under posts with Blade, Kafka and SW, saying that they are “unplayable garbage” that you need to skip to get Loucha and wrote that without Loucha you will definitely need Eidolons 5* and signature LC to just play MoC.
Oh yes, I’ll just CTRL + C and CTRL + V on any comment with Luocha, even if it’s with arguments, and call myself “Simps, such simps”, I’m incredibly smart and understand much more than anyone else!
I don’t know where you noticed doompost from me when I was talking about SW being a very good character and only criticizing Kafka for her bad late game scaling lol. Calm down, I just listed the pros of the character and said why people underestimate him and why he is so good, especially against the background of the fact that characters of this type simply will not appear in the future.
His element isn’t particularly rare btw. I mean, it is at the moment; but it won’t be. I’m looking at this chart of all the leaked upcoming characters and there are 7 imaginary characters in total, which is the same number as lightning, physical and quantum. Fire and Ice have 9. If you exclude the MC then physical has 6 and fire 8. The rarest element is actually wind with 5 characters.
Imaginary is a sausagefest though, so if you’re into collecting husbandos, Imaginary is where it’s at. Yukong’s the only lady, the rest are dudes.
Considering how long each version update is and how we already know, via leaks, what characters will be in 1.2, we’ll be stuck with Welt (who isn’t guaranteed, unless you do 300 wishes on Standard), Yukong and Luocha, for some time.
There’s an argument to be made about people not being able to get Yukong while wishing for Luocha, but that is only temporary, since she’ll be freely given in an event in 1.2….
Point is, Imaginary will have more characters, of course. But we’re going to have to juggle whether or not Luocha (and Yukong) will pay for himself until new Abundance/Imaginary characters get released.
If people already have Bailu/Gepard, Luocha loses some value, despite being Imaginary… Sure, it’s one Element that people will be lacking, but considering that enemies have more than just 1 Weakness, this is somewhat mitigated.
This still doesn’t change the fact that imaginary is the top 1 element and shares that position with quantum. Also, his other advantages put him in 1st place among healers and shielders, so it seems to me that he is quite a useful and convenient character.
In the future, I am 100% sure of this, looking at past HYV projects, we will only meet more nasty enemies that Luocha will be ready for and will be able to easily save his team and do whatever she needs.
i don’t have a healer, so not a hard choice. instead of getting welt, i could have gotten geppie or bailu. sigh.
Everyone as Natasha who does an amazing job and have a cleanse. March 7th has a strong single target shield + cleanse and Fire Trailblazer has multitarget shield and taunt.
With Welt, ennemis attack less often so you need less defensive capacity. Only one defensive unit can be enough, you can pair him with Asta for even more speed control.
You already have great tools in hand =)
Welt is secretly a Preservation character…
‘They can’t hurt you, if they’re dead.’ or in Welt’s case, ‘They can’t hurt you if they are Ensnared.’
This is obviously, an exaggeration, as sooner or later, the enemy WILL attack, but the window that Welt gives allows for a lot to happen, from generating a lot of Skill Points, to unleashing lots of dmg, or prepare for the inevitable attack.
He is not only able to CC enemies, but also deal great damage and, along with Asta is one of the best weakness breakers in the game so far. (for single target more so).
But yes, having a 2nd healer and one like Luocha, definitely makes things easier.
On the pages of SW, Kafka and Blade, there is a raid of Loucha-simps doomposts telling everyone to skip these “mid”/ “bad” characters for the sake of Loucha.
Especially funny is the comment that without Loucha you will not be able to clean the MoC without having 5* characters with Eidolons and sign LC.
Are you so unsure of your pet that you need to clog up other topics with this? Funny
isnt his E2 kind of going against his synergy with blade ?
since Blade needs to take damage, but E2 Loucha can shield 🙂
He takes dmg from himself, having a shield is actually recomended.
So…. any info about the best stats for him?
I’m aware that 2PC Passerby 2PC Musketeer (2PC Herta Station) will probably be his BiS but what should the go-to stats be?
I’ve thought about just going all ATK% for the stats but does Imaginary DMG% also work?
2 musket 2 passerby are the best for him but for the planetary you could either use herta or xianzhou both work either way
but i would reccomend the new planetary at 1.2 later(broken keel)
and for the main stat just go healing/atk%/atk%/.atk%
tysmmm
forgot to mention yes imaginary dmg are optional choice if you dont have any atk% on planetary
wsait i dont think img dmg will work tho cuz it directly scales off of atk not dmg
Yes, but since he will stack a lot of att anyway, his NA and Burst will do some dmg, like a subdps
His healing will be a bit lower, but as he said, “if you dont have any atk%”
He’s a healer. Elemental damage bonus isn’t something you want to build on him unless you plan to turn his non-offensive kit into a DPS.
All ATK and maybe SPD boots.
his value on the attack are quiet high tho it is true building dmg arent a reccomend for him
but i did mention when you dont have ANY atk% that are good for planetary
that goes the same as speed since his talent cover the healing without taking a turn
unless you want to hit 120 speed for xianzhou luofo but then at 1.2 its better to change with broken keel and trust me thats better for luocha
His current value is overinflated because there is only 1 accessible healer in the game right now.
Honestly, unless you really want a second healer or just like him, try skipping him.
Okay, now that you got a healer, how are you going to face MoC?
It’s just gonna be a stalemate. You would have more healers and shielders than you need before you could build competitive dps units that can deal with every elements in MoC.
I don’t know about your gear but an average player will not have enough damage or survivability pass Moc5.
Fire Mc and natasha aren’t enough for 2teams, gepard and bailu aren’t guaranteed.
Better have a stalemate and get 1 star than not beating the lvl at all.
of all the healers we know of so far, this criticism applies the least to Luocha, whose kit scales entirely off ATK. Luocha basic attacks will do DMG and Imaginary break against Imaginary weak enemies.
Now add in a cleanse, an enemy buff dispell, and more ATK buffs, shielding, and enemy debuffs in Eidolons? Team Luocha all day.
fun fact that kit scale with atk is the criticism he get saying “luocha will be squishy”
and thats funny bcz seele is more squishy compare to luocha yet she never get one shot
He’s going to be so mid LOL
Nobody cares.
Luocha enthusiasts will get him and MHY will still profit either way.
bro he’s better than than the upcoming 5star wind healer so he will be the best choice for a while it doesnt matter if he’s mid
Copium from Loucha-simps. Despite the fact that I do not agree with the commentator saying that Loucha mid (he is a good character) – but to claim that he is better than HuoHuo (5* Wind healer) is already pure simp.
HuoHuo will heal from 3 different sources, give the squad energy in 2 ways, increase the Atk of the entire squad (and not one character, like fox-girl) and reduce the Atk of enemies (further increasing survival). Are you saying that Loucha gives more than that?
Yes, Luocha gives MORE defensive abilities.
If you’re familiar with the rest of HYV games, you should understand that this company loves nasty enemies. GI is a great example of this, because on release the enemies were about the same as here, but at the moment the number of disgusting enemies in GI is simply incredibly huge. Already now in MoC you can see a large number of enemies against which Luocha works well and believe me, the number of these enemies will increase.
If you don’t understand the value of his skill set and his convenience, then I feel sorry for you, because in the future you will clearly suffer from investing ONLY in attacking characters. But even so, without eidolons and 5* LC, you won’t be able to deal with enemies until their skills are used.
I’d say Luocha’s biggest weakness is that he scales off attack. Great when you want a little extra damage, but you get bad rng, he is more likely to die than an HP scaling harmony character in the same situation.
His omni buff removal is pretty strong, but it’s likely that there will be a future nihility character that can do the exact thing. And currently, buff removal is rather gimmicky, as there are a lot of buffs that bosses apply to themselves that buff removal doesn’t even work on.
Currently, Luocha is very strong, but I think that’s only because our baseline for Harmony characters is Natasha, and there not being another 4-star harmony character.
If HuoHuo does give energy to the party, that alone makes her a pretty strong contender over using Luocha’s kit. Access to a faster ult is really powerful. Her ATK sounds pretty weak unless the number is somewhere between 30-50%.
Ignoring the fact that the Wind healer won’t even be announced for several months…
Having healing from 3 different sources doesn’t mean much, cause of overheal. It’s how/when it is applied that is important. And it’s one of the reasons why Luocha is appealing.
You get 1 heal on his turn, another on an emergency and then there’s his life steal field.
As for the rest of HuoHuo’s kit, again, far too early to talk with so much certainty.
For all we know all those features might be shafted to Eidolons.
But even then, it’s still the juggling of:
Will Luocha pay for himself until HuoHuo is released, assuming she stays as you say.
And whether or not people will like HuoHuo.
I really don’t know why people are comparing Luocha and HuoHuo. So far hoyoverse has done a great job at balancing different units and making each character unique and useful in specific situations.
Luocha will shine in some content tailored to his strength, and so will HuoHuo.
There’s really no need to hate a unit for whatever reason, especially if it’s a question of personal preference.
The point of the game is to have fun and make do with the cards you’ve been dealt. Some accounts will prefer Luocha for elemental type coverage and because they currently lack supports, while others can wait a bit for HuoHuo to come.
Either way, one person’s account needing Luocha and criticising HuoHuo is as foolish and cringe as another person criticising Luocha because they don’t need him.
It may be hard for whales to understand, but most players don’t have an infinite amount of resources.
They can’t get every game character and use it in an ideal situation for him – they have to choose
It’s funny when people say, for example, that you can’t compare Main DPS of different Paths and Types, pretending that you can just get 21 DPS of level 80 with suitable LC (Destruction, Hunt and Erudition of all elements and I don’t even mention Nihility) to solve any situation in the most appropriate way.
It doesn’t work for most people. You have a limited amount of jade and a limited amount of resources to strengthen, so you have to choose a character that will give you an advantage in as much content as possible, not just the one that is specifically tailored to it.
So, getting Loucha or Huo Huo if you don’t have Bailu/Gepard is quite a sensible strategy.
But to get both of them, especially already having other units for survival because there are a couple of very rare and specific situations in which this particular character will better surpass the other, sacrificing, for example, the opportunity to get a strong DPS or Support – may well be an excess and an unacceptable luxury for many.
Of course, you can certainly say – “Why are you comparing? Just get both”
But for most other players, it’s quite normal to compare, deciding on whom it’s generally more useful to spend your 180 pulls (with the exception of simps, of course) or it’s worth skipping both at all.
I didn’t advise to get both, so it’s on you for extrapolating.
Some accounts will need Luocha (those lacking supportive options and/or imaginary), others can wait and see if HuoHuo will be better for them.
Everyone’s account is different. Comparing is one thing but it’s annoying and cringe when someone feels the need to critisize another character to make them feel better, and give more perceived value to the character they choose to pull.
he’s actually amazing
If you already have 2 healers or even 1 healer + Gepard, you can freely skip him.
He is better than Bailu, I think. But not to the point that you would need him without choice.
His only value is that you don’t have another sustenance unit. The others are just minor bonuses.
It’s funny to see how Bailu simps try to convince everyone and themselves that Bailu >= Loucha.
They resemble Serval simps, who proved that E0 Serval >= general.
Just accept the fact that MHY is not profitable for the characters from the standard banner to be OP – they want to profit from the sale of limited characters. Therefore, most of the future 5* will be significantly stronger than the standard ones, with rare exceptions in the form of unsuccessful game design solutions.
“It’s funny to see how Bailu simps try to convince everyone and themselves that Bailu >= Loucha. They resemble Serval simps, who proved that E0 Serval >= general.”
I’ll take “shit this guy is making up” for $500, Alex.
Apples to oranges, my friend. Bailu is a dedicated (and unbalanced) healer while Otto does many things at once. As for Serval and Jing Yuan, Serval’s damage has a bigger DoT component, so running them with the same supports won’t exactly be fair.
You’re right about them making money from new characters. It is in their best interest to either, make ’em really good (gameplay wise), interesting (story wise), but preferably a mix of both.
That said, standard banner characters can be just as good as new releases and even some 5*
Take a look at Genshin.
Bennet, Xiangling, Fischl, Xingqiu, Sucrose, heck, even Beidou, all were there on release and they are still used in the meta.
The good thing about these characters, that at times gets neglected, is that, after some time, or if they happen to be in a banner that you end up wishing in, you will eventually get their constellations/eidolons. and a C6/E6 4* can match up to a 5*.
And this is without mentioning how some 5* get the short end of the stick. (Most Geo 5*, Eula, Diluc, Dehya…. Though for different reasons….)
that’s actually their mistake and this is why new 4 star are always mid or very niche to use, needing c6 to be good.
Not always, you can still make use of them. The problem is, the longer GI and other gacha games of the sort go for, the more likely people are to have alternatives to whatever the game throws at them. And, chances are, the things that players have will be maxed out or close to that.
So Hoyo is in a position where, if they make a new character that is on the same playing field (C0/E0, low investment, but matches up to a built one that might have some constellations, etc), then power creep happens. It already kind of is, right?
Alternatively, they can make them around the same power scale as the other characters when they were first released, but risk players feeling like the new ones are underperforming.
It’s a really hard thing to balance out, especially in a game that has quite a few nuances, most of which derivative from the team element and reactions.
I’m curious to see how Hoyo will treat SR characters when it comes to power balancing though….
Making it a turn-based game, means that quite a few elements that were in Genshin are now completely absent here. Namely things like positioning, dropping AoE and fields, crowd control…
TLDR; There are some 4* in GI that are really bad, yes. But they still make really good ones from time to time, like Kuki and Yaoyao.
And for f2p or ppl who are on the fence, sticking to their Serval instead of getting Jing Yuan isn’t that big of a deal… and it really isn’t. At the end of the day it’ll get the job done and they get to save for a character that they either really want or really need.
(Saying that she can out perform Jing Yuan under the same circumstances though, feels like a bit of a stretch though)
I don’t get it.
I wonder if his CC effect res will apply to SU W5 Kafkas domination effect or not
do you know if “70% chance to resist cc debuffs” is the same value as “effect res” ? i feel like it will be really helpful with the perfect timing light cone
Worst case scenario, could just go Abundance for the Path.
If you keep an eye on the turn order and see when that ability triggers, you can activate your Resonance and clear both party members that got the debuff. Just make sure that Kafka won’t have her own turn before then.
its simulated universe no need to worry about failing tho you could try
it worked but since it was for himself.. you still need bronya for double cleanse on the last phase
