n/a | Former Sword Champion of the Luofu, and the reason behind the Cloud Knights' mythical reputation of implacable might. Now, her name has been wiped from the records, and she is a traitor of the Xianzhou walking on the fine line between sanity and mara-struck. |
n/a | A sword, 3 feet and 7 inches in length, that weighs nothing. It was not forged from any ordinary iron, but condensed from a shaft of sharp ice. It glowed with a dim light, as if it were a sliver of moonlight held in the wielder's hand. "A sword, 3 feet and 7 inches in length, weighing about 7 catties. Hold it in your hand, and stab the sharp end towards the enemy." With a gentle flip of her hand, the woman in armor called her sword. As if alive, the sword lept out of the weapon rack, sliding into her grasp and out of its sheath in one fell swoop. The blade then stabbed into the air beside the girl, humming intently. "You got that yet? If so, go fight the most common war beasts the borisin use in their ground forces. Once you've killed ten Bloodshot War Wyverns, I'll consider your first lesson completed." She remained silent, her eyes darting left and right. This was her first time stepping out of the ward since being rescued, and the first time ever in her life she had touched a weapon known as a sword. "I have dismissed the healers and helpers. They won't come to you without my orders." "The calamity in Cangcheng left few survivors. I don't know what you've been through before the rescue arrived... But I don't want to see you wallow in past horrors like this for the rest of your life." "It's okay if you don't wanna talk. You can speak with this." "You can use this to vanquish the monsters that took everything from us. There are now few things as wondrous as this left in the world." The woman in armor remained composed, her gaze cast onto the long sword by the girl's side. The mirror-like blade showed her reflection. Then, a swarm of razor shards swirled up in a tempest, dragging the girl into her past — In the dimly lit sky, the demonic planet named Rahu was wailing and singing, hurling towards everyone with lands and mountains ablaze. On the streets, people were screaming, writhing and rolling in apocalyptic despair, as the golden tendrils sprouted and grew feverishly in every orifice of theirs. She watched everything unfold, paralyzed. Her organs felt like they were boiling. Something suddenly surged and churned in her Core Esse, like a ripe wheat grain about to burst out of its husk and swell to infinity. The mountains hurling towards her face made her realize, she was but a mayfly, about to perish at the mere flick of an Emanator's fingertip. In that split moment before death claimed her, she grabbed the only thread she could hang by. A sword, 3 feet and 7 inches in length, weighing about 7 catties. |
n/a | A sword, 6 feet and 5 inches in length, weighing This is a Cloud Knight greatsword that must be wielded with both hands. Its edge contains enchanted fire that can split open the mechabeast's inert armor at the moment of contact. There are She was still unfamiliar with the way of the sword. She still had lots to learn. The woman in armor had no time to teach her more before the woman was tasked with leading the army on the field. Therefore, the girl's second lesson is to be learned on the battlefield, taught by the enemies she would fall. "Stab" is easy, but swift monsters won't run into the sword's tip on their own or let the girl execute them. That is how she learned "slash." "Entangle" is next. Against monsters with overwhelming strength, the girl learned how to parry with the back of the sword to deflect enemy attacks. She believed she had learned enough of the sword and therefore leapt onto the mechabeast war pawn "Gigantes" that dwarfed her at least ten times over. She broke all the swords she brought with her and only managed to leave a few dozen cuts on the opponent's gigantic body. She was whacked away by an enormous hand. Lying in the blood-soaked mud of the battlefield, she was once again swallowed by horror. In that split moment before death claimed her, she finally understood that even the art of swordplay had its limits. An arrow filled with blazing fire blew off the Gigantes' head. "Get up." The woman in armor looked at her. "I don't want to learn the sword anymore. It's... useless." "Useless? It's pretty useful in my hands. It is the wielder who was useless." "..." "If you don't learn the sword, what do you want to learn? The alchemical arrows on the pilots' starskiffs? The blazing fire flung by divine crossbows? Or... The artillery of the Zhuming Xianzhou? Such instruments would also be enough to destroy that demonic planet. You want to learn about them? Fine. Those things can kill the enemy even from beyond visual range." "...I just don't understand why you insist on teaching me the sword!?" "From the general to the smallest pawn, every Cloud Knight starts by learning the sword. "The various constructs provided by the Artisanship Commission can certainly kill the enemy for you, but those deeds are to the merit of the material rather than the person. If there comes a day that the quivers run empty, that the starskiffs crash, that the aurumatons freeze — Who will protect you and I, then? Who will protect the Xianzhou? "Hold this sword. Remember, it would not be a true fight for humanity if Cloud Knights didn't wield swords and march onto the battlefield themselves. Rather than letting ingenia do the work for us, we will show our final victory to those inhuman abominations by our own blood and prowess!" The woman in armor turned and departed, leaving the girl and the broken sword in the training room. A sword, 2 feet and 1 inch in length, only its broken fragments remained. |
n/a | A sword, 5 feet in length, weighing as heavy as three thousand catties. The ebony blade shimmers with a sanguine sheen. The sword was forged from the nonstop tempering of extraterrestrial ores, a complete deviation from conventional weaponry. Untamed and unyielding, the sword mirrored the defiance and hubris of its short-life species creator. Once, she had only swords as her companions, but now she found herself with many friends. The day she was crowned as the Sword Champion, the craftsman attended the ceremony in a black garb and cast out the sword he bore. The sword sank deep into the ground, leaving only its hilt above the soil. All attendees were shocked. "Only the Sword Champion of the Luofu Cloud Knights can tap into the full potential of this sword I have crafted." He gave a toothy grin. The high elder of the Luofu, as haughty and detached as the high moon in the sky, felt an irresistible temptation to duel with her upon witnessing her peerless martial prowess with just one simple glance. The spear and the sword sparred for many years without a conclusion, until she cleaved ocean tides in twain with a single slash in the Dragonvista Rain Hall, and finally won the high elder's concession. A well-traveled Nameless who had flown across the cosmos had steered vessels for her, bringing divine nectar from the other side of the universe to share with her, and gazed upon the scintillating stars by her side. "I will cut down even the stars in the sky." She still vaguely remembers the boasts she made in moments of inebriation. That burning planet rushing towards her in childhood memories, that horrible nightmare that wouldn't let her go — those scenes are no longer so terrifying. This is the first time she understands what "wanting to live" means in all her years of wielding a sword. Before this moment, she was simply someone ready to die. And there was her student. She recalled the first time they met. This young but devious child had asked the same questions as she did. "Master, why do you insist on wielding a sword? There are thousands of weapons out there that can kill an enemy. If you want to destroy that planet, the Zhuming can probably do it with its artillery." "This is like asking a poet why they wrote poems. There are many ways to express oneself, but this is the only way for me." Now, he has also become a shining star amongst the Cloud Knights. She doesn't have a master anymore. The woman in armor perished on the battlefield and can instruct her no longer. Nor does she need a master anymore. She knows everything there is to know about swords. They are a part of her body. They are the intake and release of her breath as she walks and sleeps. People call her the Transcendent Flash, the pinnacle of swordmasters, a once-in-ten-millennia hero. However, she knows that her sword is still not enough to "cut down the star in the sky" — Even if she is holding the greatest sword in all the Xianzhou... A sword, 5 feet in length, weighing as heavy as three thousand catties. The ebony blade shimmers with a sanguine sheen. |
n/a | A sword, 5 feet in length, weighing as heavy as three thousand catties. The ebony blade is covered in cracks and the tip is broken and lost. Amid the countless wars, she wielded this sword and, alongside her comrades and disciple, battled her way into the vast ship, decapitating the wolf-like head of the borisin Warhead. She also climbed the sky-piercing flying citadel, clipping the wings of the Feather Guards. She fought the iron cavalry of the Houyhnhnm, sealing all the riders of the six-legged steeds into prison... Whichever way her sword swung, no abomination could escape death or imprisonment. She had never expected she would point this sword at her lifelong friend. She gasped, barely holding her wounded body together. Far away, deeper in the delve, there came the anguished roar of a dragon, as if pleading for death. She watched as the arrogant craftsman fell into the mud, and walked up to him like a wraith. "I should kill you first... but you will have your own torment to bear for all eternity..." She pointed the broken sword at the high elder. "Impossible. The Preceptors said... The blood of my race and the soul of my ancestor should have created another high elder. All this... It shouldn't be like this." "If your death can return everything to how it was, I would do it... But you need to tell me right now where that dragon's weak point is." "The top of its head..." The half-draconic abomination swam through the air in blasts of lightning. Its body, enough to swallow the very horizon, sundered yet another floating isle. Its wails were as loud as the clamors of a thousand clashing swords. She felt her Core Esse boiling, like a ripe wheat grain about to burst out of its husk and swell to infinity. She saw herself trapped in childhood nightmares again. The ominous planet is swallowing her overhead, and she, but an insect, cannot even struggle. The woman tore off a spread of black silk from the edge of her skirt and covered her eyes. The thunder struck. She leapt up with her sword towards the draconic abomination. In a dreamlike illusion, she felt her flesh surpass its limits, beginning to disintegrate. It was as if innumerable silken threads bound her, taut across every limb and bone, each one slicing through the last vestiges of her consciousness, bit by bit. Suddenly, she heard those words: "I will cut down even the stars in the sky." At that moment, she finally grasped the sword she had been seeking all this time. It was a sword that can transcend all restrictions. It was a sword she had been familiar with for years. It was not forged from any ordinary iron, but condensed from a shaft of sharp ice. It glowed with a dim light, as if it was a strand of moonlight held in the wielder's hand. A sword, 3 feet and 7 inches in length, and weighs nothing. |

No hate, but Jingliu now look like a 4star compared to Dan Heng. Screw that, even Topaz.
The reason to get them now is only for waifu only.
Looks like the enhanced state bonus dmg can cap very easily ( at e0 most likely at 1.5k atk) and one hp drain from the other members team with a average hp of 3k is 1.33k
Don’t forget that the LC’s ATK stat adds to her Basic ATK. I don’t exactly know if flat ATK stats from relics also get added to Base ATK or only on top of the Final ATK, but an E0S1 Jingliu should be able to get 1971 ATK out of this.
does the gloves adds to the base atk? i only counted the character and LC
Gloves don’t, only LC and character stat count toward base attack.
Only Base stat+LC
relics are added after
It says “her” base attack, so I’m not sure if Light Cones are included in that. With a level 10 talent, and if light cones are not included in “her base atk”, the cap should be 814 bonus atk, and your other party members should need a combined total of 5,427 HP to hit that cap.
LC count as Base attack when your looking the stats so im 99% sure it count.
if not her numbers would be too low.
Yes, I agree. Her numbers would be too low if it didn’t include the LC.
So shove in one high HP party member (eg. Fu Xuan) and your set?
Fu Xuan with 8k Hp gives her ~1200 Atk, with her LC she has a base attack of ~1300, and since it caps at 1.2×1300= ~1500, you have to find, like 300 more to cap (A character with 3k Hp gives 450), so yeah you’re pretty much set with Fu Xuan.
After the reveal of her talents, now I am pretty sure to pull for Topaz and Numby, because I only have 2 teams, team Seele and JY, and I already plan to pull Fu Xuan. JY Erudition gonna get his The Hunt pair, as follow-up attack team.
Jingliu is good, but for now I think I will just wait for her rerun.
Imo Jingliu is the worst of the 3 recent destruction DPSes (talking what she does not raw numbers) bc she drains team hp with no way to heal it herself, has really mediocre major traces, and overlaps with Yanqing as an ice dps. Whereas Blade is an extremely sustainable dps who can also hypercarry, and DHIL is the premier imaginary dps who outputs insane numbers (but is more restrictive)
Meanwhile Topaz is about to buff every future follow up attacker
Not saying Jing Liu is bad just nothing really new gameplay wise, hopefully some of those traces get improved
youre right. i mean im an ultimate stan of jingliu. but gonna say her traces rnt that good, drain hp withouting healing etc
might not be good to pull if u dont like her that much imo
I agree, quite underwhelming but that’s because the recent options have been kind of power creeping. IL can at least be somewhat justified due to his skill floor, and blade doesn’t have much offensive support. Maybe JL will be more useful since she has access to characters like TY and bailu/fu xuan’s max hp increases?
Jingliu easily outclass Yq both in story and gameplay, bailu, nat and lynx build HP, with pela making 3 slots. Her high atk is the only problem making her really just work with Bronya. She uses way less sp, has extra turn and AoE and is very self-sustaining. you can just throw her in any open slot as a sub-dps. I think she is like blade but with more dps and less survival. IL is very strict and demanding so he is a bit niche, would call her worst out of 3. In fact her power level mean HSR isn’t dead in powercreep hell yet
(None of this should discourage you from pulling Jingliu if you like her)
Blade and Jing Liu are very different
Blade offers strong damage while his own HP constantly fluctuates, but he’s near unkillable if there’s a decent healer on the team and being destruction he takes aggro off your teammates so they’re less likely to die. He’s very flexible and has almost no SP cost (once per 4 turns when not hypercarrying.)
Jingliu on the other hand is a main DPS pretty much exclusively, she’s not the most SP hungry out there but she is quite SP negative and on top of that she actively decreases your team’s survivability for her own gain. Sub dps Jing would be an awkward experience at best. But also as a main DPS she just seems kind of uninteresting, Blade had a similar but much more interesting kit.
It’s already been proven that powercreep is not necessary because Blade and Kafka are both very strong and far more unique than Seele without displacing her, and dps Topaz looks to be the same case. DHIL is the exception as he is incredibly overtuned to the point that Prydwen dropped Seele to BELOW Blade and Kafka on their tier list.
Doesn’t seem that good. Am I missing anything.
She looks like inferior Blade.
They will probably change a lot of things from the current kit. Not looking top D numbers at all.
the talent says that in her buffed state you can only use the new skill, but it seems you can still use her ultimate. (combat preview clip) this means you can use the enhanced skill 3 times?! assuming you cant store more than 2 charges. E,E (build charges) get energy for ult swap stances. enhanced E (-1) ultimate (+1) enhanced E*2(-2) so thats 4 instances of quite high(i assume) damage. seems like she’s a BURST DPS.
peaking at E, enhanced E ultimate in a single turn. about 180 ice toughness break! i cant WAIT for this patch.
Well I think it is a lot better to save her ult until her Spectral Transmigrassion state considering that it also boosts her attack including her ultimate, the same way as Blade would rather ult while in his Hellscape state because it increases his DMG dealt.
She’s considered to be in that state when she uses her ult so it doesn’t matter damage wise
Oh right I forgot about that small details. But I guess it is still better to save her ult until her state activated IF she is allowed to gain one extra stack of it thus prolonging this state.
Fyi: Her Ultimate (while you are casting it) is considered or treated as being in Spectral Transmigration state (Talent state). Which means:
1. Her A6 also increases her ultimate damage by 10%
2. Her E6 Crit DMG increase also applies to her ultimate. Additionally, now ultimate can generate an extra moon stack because you are in her Spectral Transmigration state for a moment.
Seeing Jing Liu makes me want an ice destruction Yae Sakura
The hunt Yae was obviously scrapped but idk I think destruction Yae’d be pretty cool
i don’t think peoples really see her potential, even with this kit she can deal crazy damages.
she just need the good team to maximize her talent
Well, this is what happens when you release a character as overloaded as DHIL in 1.3, he got so much crazy buffs implemented in his kit, that JingLiu seems close to mediocre in comparison, just take A6 for example, both are conditionnal (in best case scenario DHIL works 100% of the time), one offers 24% CD, the other offer 10% Dmg in her amped state.
Her E1 is really good though, in ST, this could potentially lead to some really good nuke.
Not saying she’s bad by any means, damage seems really good as of now, but what people said previously still stand, her major traces aren’t that good, hopefully, buffs will come her way during the beta.
Major traces being lackluster compared to DHIL is arguably a good thing – means less farming for good damage. So far her damage seems competitive if not better than DHILs which is good- her synergy with Blade and the pink midget shielder can make for better teams than any Img-type addons
the different between Jingliu and Daniel i can think of might be sp cost, Daniel consume more sp than Jingliu even with his burst, while Jingliu can be sp neutral like Blade after she use 2 sp to activate Transcendence mode. When the T.mode is over, she can use her burst to reactivate T.mode for 2 more turn. This is just my speculation base on both character kits, we can wait for official gameplay for now.
DHIL big SP usage is kind of annoying but is fine because the damage is really good. Jing Liu sucking her teams HP is annoying but her damage is just fine. It’s not crazy. DHILand Blade have more interesting kits at base for Destruction characters than Jing Liu.
Jing Liu’s kit looks pretty vanilla and basic in comparison. It’s just sucking teammates HP to do damage
DHIL has different choices for his SP usage, 1, 2, 3 for diff animations and damage, and his burst to get more SP basically to use his enhanced attack. Popular units to pair with DHIL are already very used units like Tingyun and Pela who are SP positive so it’s not a real issue, not to mention Hanabi being a future hyped character to pair with
Blade has his cool followup attack that you can time and play around with, and playing as an HP drain tank style. It’s difficult for Blade to actually die, while doing solid damage
Jing Liu is going to be a squishy destruction character so she has more aggro + drains your team HP. Pair her with tingyun, pela, + healer and the team looks super squishy due to her draining the teams HP, at least DHIL doesnt drain his team HP. She is going to be fine, but she just looks not as good as all the other units around her release time
If I understand the wording correctly, her ult only gives you 1 stack of new moon, so you need to do an E before entering it again, the ult doesn’t put her instantly in the amped state.
Yes the wording says she gains 1 syzsygy (I butchered that I think) stack
She is only considered to be in the state DURING her ult and it ends immediately afterward according to the wording
So far, her damage is not close to DHIL, he has 72% CD on Fulgurant Leap (24% major trace, 48 from his skill) and 60% damage increase on talent, with a 500% + 180% multiplier at the cost of 3 SP per turn, at base, E0 and shit stat, his calc were already hitting 120k~130k damage.
There’s no difference in the minor traces between the two (CR%, %Dmg, %HP), and when you look at the full picture, she gets a 120% attack buff, 10% dmg and 10% Spd.
Her damage is good, but not close to DHIL in any way, and that’s why he uses 3 SP per attack, and let’s not even go down the E6 path, because DHIL is undoubtly also the winner there. (Free 3SP +100% forward, 60% res pen, 60% DMG increase last til end of next turn,…)
Talent Translation (correct me if im wrong)
After getting 2 stacks of New Moon, gain an extra turn and consume 6% hp from every teammate (did not mention whether it includes herself ), multiply it 250% and becomes Jinglius ATK for 2 turns. However, this amount cannot exceed xxx amount of Jingliu’s original atk (before the buff).
In the buffed state she can only use her skill and every skill consumes 1 stack of New Moon. It did not mention whether the buffed skill consumes skill points or not so I assume it does. The buffed state ends when her stacks is reduced to 0.
“Crescent Transmigration
When Jingliu has 2 stack(s) of Syzygy, she enters the Spectral Transmigration state and gains 1 extra turn. In this state, Jingliu gains a new Skill, Moon On Glacial River, and can only use this Skill. When Jingliu uses an attack in the Spectral Transmigration state, she consumes HP from all other allies equal to 6% of their respective Max HP (this cannot reduce allies’ HP to lower than 1). Jingliu’s ATK increases based on 250% of the total HP consumed from all allies in this instance, capped at 120% of her base ATK, until the current attack ends. When Syzygy stacks become 0, Jingliu will exit the Spectral Transmigration state.”
This is Lvl 10 value.
since she can only her skill during the buffed state then it is obvious that her skill does not consume skill points. otherwise you would not be able to attack if you had no skill points during her buffed turn, and you cannot skip your turn in this game
