「제국」을 기습한 벌레떼는 철저히 소탕되지 않았고 다음 출격 지령도 잠깐의 침묵 후 다시 울렸다. 언제나처럼.
「제국」의 철기는 뼈를 울리는 신호 전송대역이 전해주는 외부의 감각을 느끼고 있었다. 그녀는 지난번 조타실에서의 체험을 떠올렸다. 따뜻한 바람이 긴 머리를 휘날리고 습하고 뜨거운 공기가 그녀의 목뒤로 스며들어 땀방울이 피부에 맺혔다. 그녀는 이런 느낌이 싫지는 않았다. 시뮬레이션 신호보다 백 배는 생생했기 때문이다. 기갑은 감각 기관과 조종사를 심층 동기화하여 이 순간에도 엔트로피 상실의 고통을 더 가중하지만, 전투를 위해 살아온 곤충의 후예인 철기에게 이미 다른 선택지는 없었다.

그라모스 철기는 철권을 꼭 쥐어 더러운 날개를 깨뜨렸고, 벌레 뱃 속의 부식성 액체가 멋대로 튀어 버렸다. 벌레의 체액이 닿은 은색 갑옷은 순식간에 기화되었고, 핏자국과 오물만 남았다.
기갑과 벌레의 잔해가 공중의 잔해로 흩어지고 그라모스의 「죽음의 강」을 휘감으며 만유인력의 법칙을 따라 서서히 내려앉았으며, 혈전은 드디어 끝을 맞이했다.
의회의 지도자들은 전쟁 후의 상황을 상의했다. 그들은 실권을 잡아본 적 없는 「티타니아」에 심판을 내렸다. 그녀는 벌레들에 대적하는 철기병단을 지배했기 때문에 그녀의 존재가 공화국 존속에 가장 큰 위험이었다… 사람들은 평화의 종소리를 울리고 백성들을 향해 벌레떼가 흩어졌으며 파란 하늘이 다시 공화국의 손에 들어왔다고 선언했다.

여러 개의 불의 원호가 밤하늘을 가로지르고, 새벽의 지평선을 넘어 그라모스의 여러 행성 구역으로 향했다——이것은 공화국 주민들이 가장 익숙하면서도 두려워하는 일상이었다.
은색 그림자의 기갑이 하늘로 치솟고 그들은 시간을 다투며 황폐해진 전장으로 향했고, 자신들이 밤낮으로 지키던 풍경을 둘러볼 겨를도 없었다.
여황제의 명령은 논쟁의 여지조차 없다. 비슷한 얼굴의 전사들은 배양실에서 태어나 그라모스의 하늘을 되찾겠노라 여황제에게 충성을 맹세했다. 철기는 날벌레의 사체 산과 피바다, 타버린 날벌레의 잔해를 뛰어넘어 거대한 턱과 이빨의 부패한 잔해를 부쉈다…그라모스 철기의 숙명은 만성 해리의 엔트로피 변화를 견디고, 생사의 경계에서 타오르는 것이다.

철기의 발자국은 타오르는 유성처럼 그라모스 「제국」의 곳곳에서 발견되지만, 티타니아가 만들어둔 「꿈」을 벗어나지 못하고 있다.
공화국의 사람들은 싸우기 위해 태어난 병사들을 걱정하고 있다. 존재한 적 없던 「제국」이 대체 어떻게 자신이 익숙한 땅과 겹칠 수 있는지……
여황제가 그녀에게 내린 기사의 명예와 신앙, 철기가 여황제에게 바쳤던 충성과 약속들…신인류가 배양실에선 끝없이 태어나고 코드와 사명을 부여받는다. 구 인류는 강철 벽 밑에 숨어 오랫동안 기대해온 평화를 걱정하고 있다. 고요의 거짓말은 폭로할 사람이 필요하므로, 인류의 본질을 뒤흔드는 전쟁 수단은 세상에 존재해서는 안 되므로 천재지변이 끝나고 공포를 품고 살던 사람들은 이 왜곡된 전쟁의 산물을 철저히 파괴하고자 한다——

      • My HTB with 260.1 break effect deals 8732 super break damage vs. a random overworld mob, and 9780 super break damage when Gallagher’s ultimate is on, that’s 12% more damage than the first one, meaning super break damage clearly counts as break damage.

  2. I’m going to need someone fluent in English for confirmation on this, but I hope I’m understanding this correctly that;
    This set’s DEF ignore bonus will only applied WHEN break damage is dealt, and not TO break damage specifically.

    This means; Excluding initial toughness break, the only way to have access to this bonus is by pairing up with HTB. Boothill himself reaps full benefits because of his talent.
    If my understanding above is true, then both raw damage and break damage portions dealt by SAM should receive the bonus.

    I’m also very unsure if this is an upgrade over quantum set when taking uptime into consideration – A dilemma that often decided by substats RNG hell.

      • Yeah, when this set was first leaked I think myself and everyone else misread it, or it was mistranslated.

        As of right now, the wording clearly says it applies to break damage only. So outside of standard break damage, HTB’s super break, and Boothill, this set doesn’t do anything. Which isn’t necessarily a problem, but… I’m not sure how I feel about it. It feels like jumping through hoops to get 250% break effect, all for a defense shred that’s just… not only less than the quantum set’s 20%, but also only applying to break effect??

    • They will clearly state if something is treated as Break Dmg (the way they did with RM) and unfortunately Firefly’s Ult-mode attacks aren’t. They simply just used BE as part of the scaling, no different from how Fire TB uses both Def and Atk.

      • I think the OP’s confusion was because it says “when dealing break DMG” rather than just the break DMG ignores def
        It’s just usual weird phrasing from Hoyo, either way it’s FF and Boothill’s best set rn
