Story

TitleText
n/aWhile this foxian girl may seem fragile and weak, she is actually a judge-in-training of the Ten-Lords Commission, responsible for capturing evil.
The judges sealed a heliobus named "Tail" onto her tail, making her a "Cursed One" with a tendency to attract evil beings.
Despite trembling at the sight of evil spirits, she is always entrusted with the arduous task of eradicating their presence.
She is well aware of her incompetence but lacks the courage to resign, so she forces herself to press on despite her fear.
n/aWhen Huohuo awakes at the Ten-Lords Commission, she finds herself confronted not with novelty, but with an atmosphere that sends shivers down her spine.

Sensing her unease, a white-haired judge addresses her with gentleness.

"Tell me, little girl, how did you come across that fire?"
"...It was along the roadside and about to extinguish, so I... I wished to help it."
"So you put that fire on your tail? Why did you do that?"
"I... I don't know... It happened before I realized it... I'm so sorry."
"You don't need to apologize, kind-hearted girl. However, you'll be under our custody from now onwards."
"Th—Thank you, Madam."
"Call me Hanya."
"Ah, thank you, Madam Hanya. I... my name is Huohuo."

The thoughts of the judge named Hanya wanders back to a few days ago.

The Ten-Lords Commission received a distress call, and she took on the task of locating the foxian girl who was about to be consumed by a heliobus. At the moment, Hanya couldn't repel the heliobus by force without causing harm to Huohuo, who was still a little girl. As a result, she had to seal the heliobus onto the girl's tail. Fortunately, the heliobus decided to start the possession from her tail, giving Hanya a chance to save her life.

"...Was my decision right or wrong?"
Hanya mutters to herself.
n/aWhile the heliobus is short-tempered and arrogant, he is not impossible to communicate with. He could not tolerate Huohuo's sobbing and wailing and didn't quite understand how foxians socialize — for example, he didn't understand why the girl would be ostracized by her classmates due to "her tail being on fire."

"You! Tear off that talisman!"
"No! Madam Hanya said the talisman must not be removed under any circumstances..."
"Did you hear them? How dare they mock me!? I've never been humiliated like this before!"
"No... they're not mocking you... but me..."
"Then you go teach them a lesson yourself. If you can't avenge me for this insult, then don't talk to me anymore."
"B—But... I'm scared..."
"Alright, fine. You know what? Just take a deep breath, make your mind go blank, and don't think about anything. I'll handle this problem for you."
"B—But... Madam Hanya said... the talisman must not be removed..."
"Don't worry. Just do what I say."

...When she regained consciousness, the legend of "the possessed demoness" was already circulating.

After that, Huohuo went and found out a lot about the heliobus' past. Eons ago, a heliobus named Ignamar was defeated by a Luofu general and fragmented into numerous shards, then sealed in the Creation Furnace. This particular shard escaped, and he represents the arrogant side of Ignamar and wouldn't condescend to possessing anything, living as a vagabond for centuries... until Huohuo chanced upon him in his utter exhaustion.

"Then I'll call you 'Tail' to avoid unwanted attention..."
The heliobus said nothing, his silence being a sign of acquiescence.
n/aWhen Huohuo was taken in by the Ten-Lords Commission, the judges initially wanted to ensure that Tail wouldn't cause any trouble.

Gradually, as she familiarized herself with her duties as a spiritfarer, she became acquainted with the various evil spirits documented by the Commission.

"Madam Xueyi! H—How about the talismans I prepared last time?"
"They were great. Very effective against Astral Spirits."
"Ha—Haha... Glad to know that. I was worried if it would work well."
"Why didn't you try them yourself?"
"N—N—No... I'm too scared..."
"You know, Huohuo? Most of those 'evil spirits' are actually extraterrestrial creatures or malevolent sentient beings that exist in various forms."
"I know what they are, but I'm still so afraid, Madam Xueyi. Maybe I'm not really cut out for this job..."
"...Well, only you know the answer to that."

Huohuo is not okay with her timidity. She struggled to muster the courage needed to confront the evil spirits.

She stayed up late watching horror-comedy films in an attempt to strengthen her nerves, but all she got were dark circles. She invested in the latest scientific exorcism tools to enhance her abilities, but it only left her with empty pockets. Tail sneered at the futility of her efforts, finding ways to make sarcastic remarks and mock her.

"To be honest, Tail is the scariest of all..."
However, in Xueyi's eyes, Huohuo has long ceased to fear Tail.
n/aInitially, Tail was no different from any other heliobi, intending to devour Huohuo and take possession of her name and identity, stealing all of her desires and emotions.

Later, Tail found pleasure in witnessing Huohuo's frustrations in her failures. "Anyway, I'm not in a hurry to devour her at all. She can't escape me after all."

"Tail, Tail! Help... Help me!"
"It's none of my concern. What did you say back then...? Oh, you've got to 'stand on your own feet.' Now this is the perfect chance, isn't it?"
"No! I'll stand on my feet next time! Please help me!"
"A reminder, once you die, I'll be free. But... well, I always finish what I start. I won't leave until I devour you."
"You're a judge of the Ten-Lords Commission, but you've neglected your duty and allowed those monsters to wreak havoc on the Xianzhou. What a disgrace... Hey! What do you think you're doing, small fry!? I'm the only one who can scold her!"
"Roaaaarr!"
"You want to get physical, huh? Good, you asked for it!"

Since being possessed by Tail, Huohuo has become highly sought-after by evil spirits, like moths to a flame.

Huohuo always blames Tail for her ominous title as the "cursed one," and Tail finds having a host like Huohuo can be frustrating at times. However, years have passed, and Tail hasn't harmed Huohuo in the slightest. Although Tail never fails to help her after witnessing enough frustration, he denies any notion of friendship.

"Issued by the Ten Lords, Huohuo the spiritfarer has performed extraordinarily during her tenure and has proven to be reliable for crucial tasks. She is hereby promoted to the position of 'Judge.'"
The Ten-Lords Commission decreed her promotion, and thus begun Huohuo's new tenure as a trainee judge.

  1. I think a lot of people here undervalue/overvalue pre-released characters and it kinda makes sense.I mean sure we have the stats and can calculate it but we can’t just base it off of that,we also need to test the characters ourselves and see if she is good or not, basing it off of theory alone is not optimal we need practicality of said character, and besides the characters are still in beta so there might be buffs to come idk.

    TLDR;
Quit whining and wait till she releases so that we can some dude on youtube to tell us if she’s good or not

Well, if no one whining, she won’t get buffs, just like Topaz, who was overshadowed by Jingliu.
Just look at her eidolons, see how overloaded they are? This right here is why we’re voicing our opinion, this isn’t whining, meanwhile, you criticizing others is whining.

      • While there are some people giving genuine criticism there are also people who just outright dismiss the character without any solid reason. And besides do they even listen to people like us,i mean we’re looking at leaks and all so i think they’re probably going to get feedback from the beta testers instead. But i did come off as aggressive in my TLDR sorry abt that.

  2. She’s slightly OP, but only as whale bait. Her ult is just bonus imo.
Let’s pretend you build her with 9k hp and an outgoing healing chest and 2pc healing.
    Talent heals for 4.5% + 120 = 525
    44.5% outgoing healing = 758~
    up to 124.5% outgoing healing = 1178~

Start of anyone’s turn or when anyone ults:
    -cleanse debuff(E2), 50% damage buff(E6), heal 758
then, when any character is under 50%:
-also cleanse, buff, and heal those characters 758 (up to 1178 E4)

This is excluding her S5 lightcone, which would roughly heal the Ult’er an additional 900 assuming an average of 3k hp. (Any abundance can use it though)
Energy regen if you care about her ult, which I think is the weakest part of her kit.
She basically makes your team ignore debuffs (at E2) and becomes harmony with permanent 50% damage (at E6).

With 12 stacks, she can generate 2 SP before running out of stacks and needing to skill again, assuming everyone gets 1 turn each and no ults are used (unlikely).

    Huohuo skill: 12
    Ally A: 11
    Ally B: 10
    Ally C: 9
    HH: 8 (+1 SP)
    Ally A: 7
    Ally B: 6
    Ally C: 5
    HH: 4 (+1 SP)
    Ally A: 3
    Ally B: 2
    Ally C: 1
    HH: 0 (Skill)

This puts her on a EAA rotation to maintain her benefits and stacks will likely be out before her 3rd turn. Unfortunately as well, AoEs will cut a cycle off due to consuming 4-5 stacks at a time if the damage gets everyone under 50% for the next talent trigger. This makes her play similar to Fuxuan SP-wise being mostly on a static rotation unless situations call for an early skill. In my opinion, her SP costs don’t seem to match her benefits at E0, and I can’t see her being exceptionally useful without E2 at minimum, and E6 to justify 100% uptime on stacks.

Take this with a grain of salt though since I’m undervaluing her ult part of the kit. It can cut off a turn for most rotations every 4-5 turns. E0 just feels like a weaker Luocha sidegrade. There’s also the case to use her as a skill spamming ult bot, but an sp generator like Hanya/future characters would be required in the team, and is not the consideration here.

    • HH is fine as an abundance unit when you consider that she’s not RNG dependant like getting Bailu/Gepard.
As an example; bailu doesn’t need to use skill every turn, in autoplay she even saves her burst for 1-2 or more turns, HH will be absolutely fine with her 16-24%hp + 12%+ AoE heal, specially when you consider it can prioritize low health allies.
Her biggest weakness is having a 140 cost on ultimate precisely because of this reason, it may take her 5 turns to fill her ultimate, if it was 4 or even 3 turns she would be absolutely busted, at 5 turns i think she’s “balanced” but can still pretty much do or break certain rotations. If you don’t have any other defensive unit is just better to roll for her rather than waiting for luocha, a unit which may be better for sustain + sp positive but lets be honest he’s overkill and is the reason i didn’t roll for him and rolled for FX instead, HH may not be as good as a sustain unit but at the very least she offers something else.
Obv talking about E0, i don’t think copies should be recommendation let a lone a consideration, this game, just like genshin, doesn’t need them, i would argue light cones are better here just because they do have like 2 or more passives in them that are sometimes pretty much a whole character and that’s just a maaaybe, is just better to get either characters you need or characters you like.
tldr: i don’t think she’s whale bait, she’s a good abundance unit that does a little more than healing.

    • Well i not sure able to 9k her, soon i get her, i will slap her with Er rope & spd shoes

Ignore the fact she are a healer , the selling part is the way she can regen er & buff all allies, & i need her regen own ultimate more faster.

People argue tingyun are best er regen than her, well huo huo can regen total of 3 allies meanwhile tingyun are 1.

Ofcourse as overall buffer tingyun win ,cuz huo huo is healer with small harmony treatment.

  3. if this information is correct, then Huohuo will be the MOST OP Abundance unit EVER! she is like the fusion between Luocha & Tingyun this character is crazy insanely OP, but again IF this information is correct.
    1. can Cleanse
    2. Heal AOE
    3. give Energy
    4. give ATK%
    5. EVERY TURN, HEAL!

Dude….. this is ARCHON level i think.

    • I don’t think she is really at that level, If you think about it, you may need to use her Skill twice in a row because 4 ult + 4 start of turn and assume 1 – 2 under 50% HP mean you only have 4 – 6 stacks left. Even if you won’t Ult all the way with all 4 it is still going to be 6 – 8 left so it is 1 SP per 2 turn. A lot less appealing compare to Loucha 0 SP and free healing field when attack, but she has more utility than him for dps boost, however this spell a bit of bad synergy with heavy SP cost team

She seems more like a bait for whale, currently I think she is a bit better than Lynx at E0 as Lynx AoE cleansen is a 5* kit itself, and the free 3 stacks heal overtime from Technique or Ult is enough if your team is well built. Houhou however barely has anything standout at E0 ( 24% ATK and 20% ER are not huge enough, basically 1 turn recharge faster ) and she only become a real 5* on par or better than Loucha at E1 and broken at E2 imo. You would be more correct to say she is technically Archon invest level cause Raiden, Nahida are broken at C2 and soon Furina too

That was optimize opinion tho, you can just not use her Skill at all until someone need to heal but that make her on par with lynx completely. But let just wait and see : D

Ofc pull who you want but you may want to consider a 5* sustain (or 2 if you do memory of chaos) since harmony units won’t offer much if your team is dead

Tbh I didn’t finish this rotation yet because I was waiting for Jingliu but last MoC10 was :
        Gepard/SW/Welt/E6 Serval
Natasha/Asta/Luka/Kafka (Asta was replace for MoC9 by March 7th for survivability, cleans and crowd control.)

I don’t know for Swarm Disaster but I won’t go with just Nat and I agree that 5* defensive unit make the life easier.
        I will go with a combo of FuXuan + Nat/Geppu/March 7th + Harmony/Nihility + Jingliu/Kafka.

While she may not be the most reliable outside of SU, you can still keep going without 5* sustain for awhile longer imo. Going for Harmony and DPS is actually not that bad to be honest, If a real good Harmony unit ( aka Bronya, Tingyun, E6 Yukong level ) come around that allow you to actually deal enough damage before enemies can kill you then it is a different story.

That say most people should be having Lynx at this point to be worry about getting another Healer, if you think Nata and Lynx can’t help you then pardon me, you should look into your builds and strategy instead ( or pull for dps that actually help ) owo~

My Nat was only level 70 ( level 60 cone ) with traces around level 5 + 2 and 4 purple relics ( lol ) up until Lynx come around, so I think the biggest contribute here is the supports and DPS, so imo as long you have Nat and Lynx ( if you also remember March 7th and Fire trailblazer ) then I think focus on Harmony is just as fine, but yea for casual who want to think less about optimize then it is easier to get 5* sustain ‘3’

      • no worries, i have perfect gepard with 4k def and 134 speed and well build Fire trailblazer if natasha isn’t good enough.

  5. She need 140 energy. 140(!) 24% atk buff is like a joke, couse it wouldnt even be always on your allies, like Fu Xuan 12% crit rate do.
If you really invest a lot into her ER, you might make her SP neutral with 4 turn rotation. Is it good enough? I dont think so.
    (5+30+30+20+20)*1.364=143
    5%(130 energy ally)+12%(signa lightcone)+19.4%(ER rope)=36.4%
They should make her ult cost 100 or atleast 110-115.
(5+30+20+20)*1.364=102 – it is probably too good.
(5+30+30+20)*1.364=115 – this one looks fine for me.
Alternative – make her buff better and/or last longer, because 24% atk for 2 turns once per 4 turns – hardly noticeable at all.

    • You aren’t counting her talent energy, it’s 1 per ally turn (or more depending on circumstances) for a max of 12 procs per Skill use (I used 8 as a safe estimate)

      So something more like:
      5 + 30 + 20 + 8 + 30 + 20 + 8*1.29 (I don’t do calculations with sig lcs) = 156.7

Or in a team with no 130 ults (like DoT):
      5 + 30 + 20 + 8 + 30 + 20 + 8 *1.24 = 150.4

Or a more SP positive rotation:
      5 + 30 + 12 + 20 + 20 + 20 *1.24/1.29 =133.1/138.4 (So she’ll need to either get hit or have some other form of energy here without sig lc)

She’ll have no trouble doing 4 turn ult, which can speed up allies’ rotations a nice amount, and 24% atk isn’t the biggest buff but it’s a buff.

  6. idea for upgrade huo huo to 5 star character :
    – E2 => A6 : When the Talent is triggered to heal allies, dispel 1 debuff(s) on the affected ally.
    – E4 => E2 : When healing an ally via unleashing her Skill or having her Talent’s effect triggered, Huohuo’s Outgoing Healing increases proportionally with how low the ally’s current HP is, up to a 80% increase.
    – A6 => E4 with buff : When the Talent is triggered to heal allies, Huohuo regenerates 1=>5 Energy.

buff is ult : (on lv 10), energy 20%=>30%, for each stack of talent grant 5 % Atk (with that you can go on 60% wich is pretty nice) for 2 turn

    • I believe your ideas is too much OP for a character. Let’s see her current kit:
      – Skill and Passive realy competitive with Luocha, but Luocha kit scale with ATK, and Huohuo kit scale with HP, which can make Huohuo no worry about split attributes between HP and ATK likes Natasha. So she can go over 6k HP easily.
      – Skill already have dispell, with E2, you will get 12 free dispell without any Technique Point cost, make her come from Natasha to Luocha promax (at least Luocha have to wait 2 turn between free dispell again). That changes is very OP, and stand at E2 is acceptable for other healers.

So change like your suggestions is not necessary, but I aggre with you about A6 buff is very little, maybe regen 2 Energy is ok.

  7. I think comparing her to other Abundance is kinda wrong? She dosen’t play like an Abundance unit, more like a Harmony unit who just happens to be able to heal.

It’s like Asta but instead of offering extre DMG she offers extra Healing + ERR, something none-existent in other Abundance units at C0.

I think that her esplendor will be seen more advanced into the Beta and people will start seeing how she fairs.

    • It is absolutely fair to compare her to other Abundance units. Her main role is to heal, her skill is a massive heal, her talent is a heal, only the ult has buffs on it. By this logic why would we ever compare Fu Xuan to other Preservation units if she gives a permanent 12% crit buff?

And even then the buffs are pretty small, the ERR is fine, I think ~25 – 30% would more appropriate, but it is still pretty significant. The ATK buff on the other hand… doesn’t look too spicy, just compare it to other Teamwide ATK buffs. Asta’s buff varies but goes over 50% at its highest and Bronyas ult is a 40% buff.

That being said HuoHuos ult is the only part that looks a little undertuned, the rest is very good as is.

Thank you, someone that provides their reasoning and explanations.
Yea i think she is pretty much fine, in no way she underheals as some people were trying to say, her heal is bigger than anyone right now.
Her atk buff could maybe go a little bit higher but not by very much, considering she is still a Abundance, 20% Energy on whole team Is very strong in it’s own right in the right setup so i am fine with it and think it’s strong enough, her value on her ult will change as more units get released and maybe some can use it more.

Her energy regenerates is very good considering its for the whole team

I think 36% atk would be alright, but I would actually prefer dmg bonus instead (maybe 20-25%) since as a Blade main I don’t care much for atk, and being the same element already makes her great for him in Blade hypercarry

She has cleanse which is so far only easily accessible from Abundance.

She heals a lot, might even comparable with Bailu heals, but with cleanse.

Her buff is like secondary effect on her, multiplier is smaller than harmony (and as it should be, because she is an Abundance).

Luocha Eidolon already have similar kit with her (Harmony as secondary kit), the good thing about her that it is accessible at E0.

  8. eh. they changed her quite a bit from the initial leaks. she kinda does look like a major skip as of right now tho. HYV deffo know about the leaks anyway and data mines, so many things are probably gonna change numbers wise. but rn she looks like she isnt as valuable as other characters.

24% atk increase isnt a lot for an ult and the energy being 20% at max doesnt out perform tingyun either. (yes HH provides 20% for ALL units but 20% of ANY ult isnt a lot either.) This makes it so that without her e6 DMG boost she is a watered down tingyun which is really upsetting to be honest.

tingyun cant heal but tingyun can do a bit of dmg due to her buff being based off of her own atk meaning she is a hybrid dps and buffer.

HH fits the niche of ‘i dont have room for a healer and a buffer’ which, honestly, i dont think there is a need for that right now.

praying they change her kit a little bit as this is the first initial datamine for them however i doubt they will.

No 4-star is better than an equivalent 5-star and if you have enough 5-stars by now (you should), then there’s no reason to even build 4-stars anymore outside of extremely niche scenarios like Lynx having an aggro buff.
