  1. The AS has increased difficulty. Bosses here have higher element res against non-weakness elements. This, tied with the fact that unbroken bosses take 50% fewer damage, makes challenging with traditional crit DPS of wrong element type more impractical than before.

    • I love this. Those who have Silver Wolf finally have a use for her again outside mono quantum (me. I’m those).

I was never a fan of brute forcing anyway. Elemental weaknesses are part of the game but a lot of times can be ignored. Glad they added this in place. (I’m aware some characters ignore weakness but not everyone has them or silver wolf so those who invested in elemental variety have something nice uwu)

      • I feel the same. They are also making the bosses have 4 weaknesses, so punishing people for trying to bring one of the other 3 makes sense.

Ignoring weaknesses or implants other than Silver Wolf’s don’t do anything to the elemental res, so even with those, the boss is still going to be difficult to brute force. If they do match elements, it’s going to be a powerful tech to beating the boss faster. I like that dynamic.

        • Yeah given so far, there is bosses with minions. In the case of Seele. Well. they with Silver Wolf or having someone like Mei, e1 Robin. By pass 40% or more resistance on a boss. So they might be one of the better dps, depending on the fight. When it comes to dealing with something that would naturally be resistance to their element.

  3. Funny little nerfs in V4

    • They upped the base atk required to 1800 and reduced the BE you get to 0.8% per 10 Atk (8% per 100 atk for short) –> Reason is because the gap between her Sig and Aeon LC was not big

•Her skills energy gain was changed from being a base 60% at all skill level to 40% that scales up to 60% at lv 10 –> They realized that at v3, you do not need to upgrade any of her abilities except for Ult. This is a resource nerf lmao

      • Seele in the right player ( hand ) is still very powerful, tier list often tell you how powerful a char is in more normal way right off bat. Just like how JY with optimize play are still capable of 0 cycles in most weaker boss halfs ( despite high investment and more calculated strategy ), there is an E0S0 Seele that can 0 cycle Aventurine 2 mil HP ( the entire team has no other limited 5* nor 5* limited cone ). You don’t need to follow meta if you know how to build stats and spd tune tbh, or in another world, has relic RNG on your side xD

The rarest e6 four star that exists. Given how few times thye show up on banners. Along with a fair bit of speed on the supports, rather than just the bare min of say 134.

      • Yeah when you change your whole site, just to redo all the rankings, from a simple easy to understand thing. To making it needlessly more messy, upon the release of a certain characters. Yeah they are far from the most trustworthy source of around. Like most tier lists, take it with a gain of salt. A big one in this case.

It simply far better, to look into what makes a character great and what weaknesses they have. If one wants a true idea of how good they are. Rather than trusting a number or letter on a tier list.

          • They changed it because the old lettering system did not adequately reflect the nuances between characters. The numbering system is what CN and JP use and it’s way more accurate.

All of these changes are explained on Prydwen’s website.

The Pyrdwen haters never bring any substantive criticisms, they only spew hate because their favorites didn’t get placed where they wanted them to be.

          • Letters arent very nuanced so they dont do a good job to actually differentiate the characters who perform similarly so you’d either have to put every new character in S or S+ and bloat those tiers or start moving good characters down tiers (which is what they did in 1.3) which makes them look bad
The difference between A and S seems bigger than the difference between T1 and T2
That said their placements are still just not good, Acheron- a selfish DPS- being above the 3 limited harmonies who are almost always incredibly useful is ridiculous

  5. apart from rewordings v4 is a nerf to firefly overall? They also did this (look at quote blow), which just concerns HTBs ascension 2 trace. Pretty sure she’s still great, but just sucks seeing nerfs lmao.

but i can see what they want to do with the nerfs, the per 10 atk especially is pretty great if you look at it from another perspective. getting 10 atk is alot more easier to get than getting 100 atk, so we can squeeze out every last BE bonus you can get from the trace

          • It was probably just a common misconception OR the trace was mistakenly affecting Firefly’s break last week
I assume backup dancer is a 100% super break by default, which means:
            Firefly’s own super break – 50%
Super Break triggered by backup dancer – 120-160%

    • That has always been the case. HTB’s trace specifically mentioned that it boosts superbreak triggered by HTB’s ult (backup dancing or something).

I kept note of that because it means, superbreak isn’t a universal thing, but something that can exists differently between whoever has them. In short, there will be other superbreak units, be it one that debuffs enemies for them to receive superbreak dmg, or a buff like HTB’s or a built-in mechanic like Firefly.

Incidentally, Boothill just got unlucky for being released before V3. If he had been a bit later, his kit would’ve had Superbreak as well. Sadly, devs was still cooking how to proceed with break team and just belatedly realized that the game changer is Superbreak.

I mean idk about the dev cycle for boothill but him and FF were only a patch apart and he’s released in the latter half of the HTB patch, they probs already knew about superbreak. Still seems like he works really well without superbreak, like you dont need an lc on him, he’s a complete beast and this makes him more unique which is cool.

skill change doesn’t matter at lv 10 but if you have E3 it’s stronger

        In x >= 1800, f > g is always True.

Enhanced Skill’s nerf can be a problem. In regular build, Firefly can use Enhanced Skill 4 times. That’s 35%*4=140% HP healing. External healing is not necessary since she got 40% HP to endure attacks. Now it’s 25%*4 = 100% HP healing. As the normal Skill cost 50% HP. The HP can be dangerous during non-ult turns and the 1st Enhanced Skill turn.

      • its a buff and a nerf
you can get more BE per atk but the conversion of BE per atk is also lower (maybe if they gone 10:1 instead of 10:0.8 it would be a massive buff )

        • Yae being a debuffer seems unlikely considering she:
          A) has an old leaked kit of ice hunt
          B) has been a damage dealer in all her previous incarnations
As for her element she’s already appeared in 4 of the 7 HSR elements so the most likely is ice (based on OLD info) but could be anything
She’s never had that much synergy with Raiden in gameplay, in Genshin the closest thing she had to synergy was a high burst cost and in 3rd Raiden was usually lightning focused while only 1 of Yae’s forms was lightning and it was a main DPS

But anyway I wonder if we’ll get expies of any part 2 characters (Helia pls I want a crossbower)

          • Yae early leak used to be a traditional crit DPS who has bonus damage vs. weakness broken enemies. This playstyle is completely taken over by break DPS and is considered pointless unless the crit DPS has sky high bonus vs. weakness broken enemies and is not encouraged to build break effect.

      Since you asked, well.
      if Firefly >= E1 then
      yes
      else
      no

In short, you won’t have enough SP to use.

    • I’m pretty sure Bronya and Better Bronya are just incompatible with Firefly.

First off she’s gonna be 181 speed anyway to do 4 enhanced skills. How on earth will Bronya keep up with that?

And like Kj said. Firefly is extremely SP hungry. If you use Better Bronya instead, the issues are slightly alleviated but the speed is still an issue.

If you really don’t want to use Gallagher just use another sustain or use an SP positive support instead.

      • SPD of Bronya is not even an issue after v3. Countdown runs at 70 SPD instead of 90.

In previous version, Bronya have to be 1 times faster than countdown to have 3 turn during Firefly’s ult, which means 90*2 = 180 SPD. It’s quite difficult for most of players. For v3, she only needs 70*2 = 140 SPD to do the same thing.
Bronya has a base SPD at 99. For regular Bronya build, she will use SPD boots. Now she got 124 SPD. Only 140-124= 16 SPD to farm. That’s about 6~8 sub-stats and should be easy to get. I even not mentioned that when she use Messenger Set, she will grant 6 additional SPD.
