기억상실증에 걸린 어머니는 점점 가족을 알아보지도, 조금 전에 있었던 일도 기억하지 못하게 되었다.
그녀는 진단서를 손에 들고 어쩔 줄 몰라 하는 어머니를 꼭 끌어안고는 어머니가 남긴 일기를 다시 읽어주려고 했다——어머니는 분명 그곳에 계셨지만, 어머니는 대체 어디에 계실까?

그녀는 삶의 종착지에 다다를 때까지 어머니의 곁을 지켰으나, 그녀는 알고 있었다. 기억이 산산조각 난 그날부터, 어머니는 갈수록 희미해지고 있다는 것을. 언젠가 그녀의 기억마저 산산조각이 난다면, 어머니는 완전히 그녀를 떠나게 될 것이다.

「생명은 돌고 도는 미궁과 같고, 우리에게 기억 외엔 아무것도 없지」 그녀는 처음으로 이 말의 의미를 깨달았다

——하지만 이걸로는 한참 부족하다

내가 뒤에서 본격적으로 일을 시작했을 때부터 그 소녀를 자주 봤다. 때로 햇빛이 나뭇잎 사이를 지나 그녀의 모습에 따라 흔들리다가 어느 길모퉁이에서 사라지면 가로등이 켜지곤 했다. 또 어떤 때는 그녀의 시선이 전서구를 따라 움직이면, 매주 셋째 날 저녁마다 전서구가 대사제의 거처에서 출발해 다음날 새벽 황궁 호위대장에게로 돌아갔는데, 둘은 공개적인 정적이었다. 그리고 때로 그녀가 조용히 하수도로 내려가는 빗물을 보고 있으면, 건너편에서 발사한 대포로 인한 파괴의 흔적이 생겼다. 또 가끔 물보라가 그녀의 치맛자락을 적시면, 강가에서 빨래를 하던 노부인은 선대 권력자와 그의 다섯 사생아에 대한 이야기를 중얼거렸다.

——우리 외에 행성이 이런 방식으로 자신의 「기억」을 감춰둔다는 걸 아는 사람은 많지 않다.

나는 그녀를 따라 어느 황야에 있는 돌 앞으로 갔다. 나는 그녀를 초대할 때가 되었다고 생각했다.

『뭐가 보여?』 난 그녀가 볼 수 있는 모습으로 그녀에게 물었다.
그녀는 잡초가 자란 곳을 가리켰고, 그곳에는 무언가가 갈린 흔적이 남아 있었다.
『돌. 원래 벽난로의 일부였겠지만… 그뿐만이 아닐 거야』
난 고개를 끄덕이곤 그녀를 도와 돌 틈 사이로 자라난 잡초와 흙을 치웠다.
『기념비이기도 했네』 그녀는 돌에 새겨진 흔적을 매만졌다.
『맞아. 하지만 「기억」은 그뿐만이 아니야』

그래서 나는 그녀에게 보여주었다. 황야의 돌은 한때 누군가의 집에 있던 벽난로였고, 그전에는 하나의 기념비였고, 화단이었고, 제단이었으며… 더 오래전에는 어느 황야 위의 돌이었다는 것을 말이다.

『이런 「기억」을 보려면 어떤 대가를 치러야 할까?』
『네가 모습을 보이기 전까지 사람들은 너의 존재를 모를 거야』

기억하는 자들은 수많은 행성을 돌아다니며 모든 길과 모퉁이에서 도시의 기억을 수집한다. 그들은 도시가 기억하지 못하도록 절대 자신의 흔적을 남기지 않았다. 다만 기억하는 자의 자질을 갖춘 사람을 만나 그들을 이 도시의 기억에서부터 더 넓은 바다로 데려간다면 예외지만 말이다

    • yes, but they reset every enemy turn, its basically impossible to reach 99 stacks
      maybe in SU its possible but I find its going to be very hard to do

        While yes the stacks reset upon enemy turn you’re forgetting the ONE thing that enables Swan to reach high high Sacrament stacks… Her ultimate clearly stats that the stacks do *not* go away upon enemy turn. Basically it extends Sacrament stacks an additional turn while ALSO counting as a DoT that Kafka and other DoT units can blow up to reach that 99. I actually think it’s very possible to get to that number (if the enemy survives) with a 3x DoT team.

    • 1) yes is it worth to pull for ruan mey, because you need to applie a lot a stack of her talent, but you also need the mob play so ruan + welt BE is a bad idea with her.
      2) e1 if you want her as support, s1 if you want her as dmg dealer (sampo signature lc is pretty good on her too)

    • Nah Black Swan is strong only because Crit dmg is just that good.
      I think you don’t need to pull dot char if you don’t want to play them.

      Black swan will only make Dot play style able to compete with crit dmg (in term of dmg).

        • in fact not really, she just need to applie def break with her skill then auto, and since she have an high cost ult 130 without energie gain, she will take (5+30+20+20+30+20+ (1hit a 5)) 5 turn with sp positive rotation since kafka will eat all skill point, his gretest dmg % his her talent, so you need it hit hard, but i don’t think that 134 speed whill change a lot, you can go attack as sub dps for kafka or be a support for blade

      The Key phrase here is “receive Wind DoT” which means… It’s a DoT… DoT cannot crit, but her damage value can reach 840%+ with 50 or more stacks which *should* be fairly easily achievable with a full DoT team (Which I’m loving)

    This means it works very well with Sampo?

    Sampo applies DoT throughout his kit, with 3 hits in his AA, 6 hits in his Skill, and 4 AoE hits in his Ultimate.

    Guinafen applies DoT in her Skill and AA, with 1 hit in her AA and 1 hit in her skill (3 target).

    Luka can only apply DoT in his skill and has 1 hit.

    • The way I see it, receive DoT means take DoT damage. What you’re referring to is applying the DoT. So I would assume it works well with Kafka, E6 Luka and Little Gui

    • As *I* read it’s not when the character applies DoT to an enemy, it’s when the DoT does damage… It makes the most sense, when you consider Sampo is currently the only character who can apply more than one instance DoT (stacking) at a time.

      Basically every DoT character can detonate their own instance of DoT damage, while Kafka can blow up all DoTs. Swan’s A4 basically super charges her sacrament stacks in a DoT teamcomp, while also reeling in the amount of stacks possible to get in a single instance of damage… If this was uncapped it would be ABSOLUTELY disgusting, haha.

      As of now the only person unable to reach that 3 cap is Gui as she can at most trigger 2 stacks (Her burn and Break Effect Burn) this is factoring Eidolons as well…

      Kafka: 3 caps at E0 (A2) with Skill (in a DoT comp)
      Sampo: 3 caps with skill, so long as he’s E4
      Luka: 3 caps with empowered basic attack, so long as he’s E6

    • With Kafka + LC, Black swan can fully utilize its Sacrament debuff as well as more dmg to both Black Swan and Kafka’s insane DoT damage.

      Without Kafka your closest bet for F2P is Sampo. Black swan can complement all DoT characters well.

    • Summarized version. Black Swan is a debuffer that insanely boosts DoT type characters. Im not kidding when i said insane.

      Swan inflict Sacrament which can trigger when enemy has DoT debuffs. Sacrament plays depending on stacks. Higher stack = better DoT Dmg. Not to mention a different Her Eidolons is crazy as well. Just her E1 would boost 25% dmg overall.

      As a Kafka Main she is definitely a must pull.
