sorry guys, you totally missing her kit she is simply, clara plus argenti and her damage is the combined of both. She litterally, powercreeped both. Explaining how, requires me an essay. Best psychical dps.
Yunli is almost entirely blast-focused and she has no AoE in her kit at all so Argenti still has that going for him, which should help in Pure Fiction if nothing else.
As for Clara, while Yunli should be beating her in terms of overall damage output due to her ult cull counter, the trade-off seems to be Yunli being a bit squishier since she lacks Clara’s constant damage reduction. I imagine her skill has a heal attached mainly just because she’d probably die too quickly without it.
Yunli’s certainly looking very good atm but I wouldn’t say she’s a complete upgrade on either Clara or Argenti since all 3 have pros and cons.
I still think she would look better with footwear on. Like golden battle sandals with “Chinese” aesthetics that are asymmetrical.

Idk man, she seems strong with her nuke, but her playstyle can be confusing. So she needs to time her ult with enemy action (if the enemy attacks in that action), and she also gains taunt so its guaranteed to be targeted at her but only for that ult. But other than that, she lacks any taunt or aggro increase, clara can have almost 100% uptime with ult’s aggro increase. But i guess Yunli’s main damage is her beidou ult counter nuke.
I’m guessing you dont really need a sustain/aggro increase like lynx or march if you want to go slow speed ult counter only with speedy hypercarry team and tingyun. But I think her normal counter can contribute a lot still to her overall damage, it’s the same multiplier as her skill, so maybe an aggro support like lynx can still be good.
Her sig LC grant +500% Taunt, while Gepard’s sig LC grant +200%. For Clara, Clara’s Ult grant +500% Taunt too.

I agree that she might be fine without aggro increase because of her ult taunt, and she almost certainly won’t need anyone boosting her aggro if she’s got her LC but I think she might need a sustain to keep her going. Since she’s probably going to be used with ATK boots rather than SPD boots, I don’t think she’ll be able to skill heal frequently enough to offset all the damage she’s taking because she doesn’t have constant damage reduction like Clara does and her ult damage reduction only helps her tank one hit.
That said, it could be non-issue if her ult counter nuke hits hard enough; she won’t need to worry about keeping her HP up if everything dies in a few hits.

This might be a copium but I don’t think she will be better than Clara. She is a variation of Clara at most. Without the ability to increase her own aggro, that is definitely her main drawback. But of course, it’s solved if you whale to get her LC. She has a similar speed to Clara, making building her using SPD not viable, but a hyper carry with Sparkle will make Clara much better with her skill having 240% damage to all enemies (not even most Erudition competes with that), instead of just 3. The main things that I think she will be better at than Clara is if first, you pair her with either March or Lynx, losing the opportunities to use Aventurine or Fu Xuan, 2 of the best sustainers in the game, and since both of the best sustainers are preservation, is a must avoid in Yunli’s team. Then, Yunli should also excel in a single target format, since her ult damage won’t be too random. But, do note that it’s explicitly mentioned that it’s considered an ult damage, not a follow-up, which means you can’t buff it with Topaz or any FUA buffer, another drawback for her, compared to Clara.
Her enhanced Counters are FUA as an action, yet the damage type is both FUA and Ult.

They’ll release more phyisical weak enemies. I honestly struggle thinking how they can promote Yunli, without making content a breeze for Clara as well. They both wanna get hit so they counter. They both wanna face throngs of enemies. They both kinda share supports and relics.

Current kit has an interesting dynamic with Clara.
Clara:
Increases her own aggro, reduces damage taken
160% multiplier on base counter
320% splash twice on ult
Permanent chance to resist CC and cleanse chance on being hit
Yunli:
Taunt on ult for 1 enemy turn, heals on skill usage, damage reduction is less and tied to block state
120%+60%*2 splash counter multiplier
240% splash twice from ult, with 6×80% random bounce hits
Taunt guarantees resisting CC
She seems like she’s going to be a little squishier than Clara, since her reduction is temporary at 20% and Clara can keep 35% at all times. She also has a lower multiplier on her counters’ main targets, but if you can trigger the extra bounces then she surpasses Clara in single-target. Also, Yunli’s crit traces and on block state does give her a big advantage.
We’ll have to see what changes are made, but as long as she can ult frequently she should be very strong. She’s definitely squishier than Clara even with the higher base health.
I agree. Everyone saying that she’s just ‘better Clara’ seem to be focusing on her damage without looking much at her durability, even though Yunli needs to be tough due to all the hits she’ll be taking. Unless Yunli kills things fairly quickly, she’s going to die faster than Clara would in the same situation.
Too bad her animations outside of her ultimate are absolute dog shit. Her throw animation is essentially the same as Guinaifens technique animation, just on a smaller body.
Hope they change it. Also I dont mind her being Clara 2.0 since I dont have a Clara nor do I mind more ‘counter’ characters since I really like Bazett from FGO.
