I wonder how her new E2 works? The wording says that Silver Wolf applies a debuff to enemies that are attacked by allies. Does this mean that if you have Acheron and Silver Wolf in the team and Pela uses her Ult, does Acheron charge 2 energy; 1 from Pela and 1 from Silver Wolf? I understand that if you don’t normally apply a debuff this is will mean at least a bare minimum that all attacks will give Acheron 1 charge.
Acheron can only get 1 stack per attack, no matter how many debuffs are applied. I think its the same with SW E2, despite the debuff being applied by a different unit. The only way currently to get 2 stacks in one hit is with Acheron’s skill+sig(or another way to apply debuff with an attack):her skill states that it gives her a stack independent of the debuff application.
So how is she better? I think she still far, far behind Anaxa, and other supports!
She’s now better than Pela in terms of functionality, if you take that as a buff
I don’t really know how she compares to other supports but…. what do you mean far behind anaxa? Maybe for Herta teams she’s far behind anaxa but on other teams she’s clearly better than him.
Now she is the same tier vs Trbbie in almost every team comp. exctp The Herta.
Well for one thing you’re comparing a sub-dps Erudition to a Nihility debuffer. Silverwolf can’t fullfil Therta’s 2nd erudtion requirement. Nor can Anaxa satisfy Acheron’s requirements. You can still run them on those teams, but their path has implications which automatically differentiate them. Anaxa is run either sub-dps or main dps. Silverworlf has historically been run as a debuffer and early on as a sub-dps (which may have been the intent also) but due to powercreep and poor design resulted in her falling off and seeing limited use. The new changes may change the later, but we are just talking V1 and there is some worry Silverwolf is overtuned.
Buffs:
1. AOE ult with very high multiplier and weakness break. Would not be shocked to see multipliers nerfed. Just compare her ult multiplier to Anaxa for comparison. With E1 people are doing 1-turn ults with her new energy trace, tutorial, ER rope and planar, and skill spam. That sounds a lot but her ult hits really hard so mashing it constantly does a lot of work. To the degree the SP usage can be justified.
2. Improved energy regeneration. 20 at battle start and 5 per turn allows for 1st action ults in MOC and the like. Both for her, but more so in her debuffer role, that means she can get her high DEF shred up very early allowing for high uptime for other dps to leverage.
3. No RNG on weakness implant. One of her more annoying features. Now chooses the element based on team config. Good QoL change.
4. EHR requirements – reduced across the board to very reasonable values. Trace to provide attack % up to 50% for her EHR. That is, build 50% EHR, get 50% attack for free. Basically it pushes her into the sub-dps role thoroughly in that she can do her debuffing job without being penalized damage wise for meeting the requirements to debuff/hit. Lower EHR requirements allows her to build almost entirely for damage.
5. Buffed DEF shred bug. She alone now can shred 55-60% of DEF depending on skill levels. Her LC was always a bit poor, but Cipher’s is coming along as an alternative which would allow her to do 80-84% by herself based on skill levels and her speed (which you’d obviously build for).
6. E2 – Her reduction for hit rates was a good buff for herself, but was really janky otherwise. With her having reduced EHR requirements anyway, it’s obselete. I mean unless you were swapping your relics around for characters based on whether SW was in the team or not to hit different EHR breakpoints… Anyway – it now applies a damage taken vulnerability for 20%. This makes her more splashable as any team will like that. Also, her ally attacks will apply her bugs. This means her DEF shred bug will go up in no time, as well as the other two, across all enemy targets (assuming allies with AOE attacks). This means in an acheron team anyone can apply a debuff regardless of LC/eidolons, attack type, etc… So think Tribbie with SW with Tribbie’s high attack frequency.
I mean Pela still had some use as a not-quite-as-good-but-still-decent-stand-in support for most teams. AOE DEF shred already had value – just less than a dedicated 5* made for team X. SW now does that to the higher level. With significatly more personal damage, weakness implant and res pen, with improved damage and debuffing capabilities based on her eidolans. The later of which boost her damage quite a bit and push her much more into the sub-dps/main dps role.
anaxa is therta JQ. He’s not a universal support like SW. Universally he’s just a Sub DPS.

That’s really how the ball rolled for Anaxa didn’t it. SW just slots into more teams better. Anaxa is good at what he does but he needs another Erudition character to do anything meaningful
Defense shred is universally good for any type of damage and at a whopping 45% from her ultimate + 12% from her talent, we’re looking at around 42% global damage increase in MoC12 where enemies out-level the characters. In terms of just raw damage amp there’s not a single character that comes even close to Silver Wolf in her current beta state. To put it into terms how busted 42% global damage increase is, The Herta’s global buff from bringing a second erudition character is 53% in only the absolute best case scenario, when all your characters are at 100% crit chance and 50% crit damage. Realistically we’re looking at like a 15% global damage increase from the 80% crit damage buff. The main reason you’d wanna bring a second erudition charcter is for energy and charges, as well as the Herta’s personally damage, which gets significantly increased with a second erudition character. So in that regard Silver Wolf is the gonna be the perfect global support, only outclassed by specific supports that provide synergistic buffs.
Furthermore Silver Wolf had always dealt decent damage herself, and not only have they increased her base hit rates across the board, which lowers the required hit rate you need to build for her on artifacts, but they also gave her a talent that converts EHR back into attack. So her personal damage contribution will be significantly higher.
Also her E1 is absolutely crazy, if you built her with energy recharge before, silver wolf was missing 4 energy to be able to loop her ult with E1. And now they gave her just that. So you can just ult every turn on her if you have E1.

If the goal is to compare who does more personal damage in an Acheron Team then yes E2 JQ does not compare to E2 SW, but if the goal was to compare who could Amp up Acheron more then E2 SW would contribute significantly more to charging Acheron’s Ult by enabling other options for sustains. E2 SW allows all teammates to apply her debuffs on hit. So hypothetically if you run a very fast healer with many actions you can charge Acheron extremely quickly. For example if you run Hyacine, every time she basics or Ica attacks that’s 1 tick on Acherons Energy, and Hyacine being speed built is gonna get a lot of actions, if you run her signature it only gets faster.

How to play SW?
1. Build up her speed. The faster, the better. Ideally, 160 speed at least. Even at E2 where you don’t need that much EHR, you still need very high speed on her. Speed is her 1st priority, even more important than EHR.
2. 96.1% EHR is enough. Just forget about her talent.
3. Just forget about crit rate and crit damage.
My SW is insanely useful because she has 180+ speed and 96.1% EHR.
A SW with 134+ speed, 65%+ EHR, 50+ crit rate and 100+ crit damage is just, fairly bad, unless you pay a lot for her eidolons.

I rarely use SW anymore she was very usefull early game , but for every dps I get and feel like I dont need her weakness implant anymore because I have decent elemental coverage , and if I need a debuffer Pela is better option because she has AOE def reduction and she doesn’t have er essues like sw does
there is a fun playstyle however that i’ve been trying lately and that is by building SW with a dmg build and while having enough EHR from substats , and it’s actually not bad at all her ultimate hits hard with a crit build,
she can be a great sub dps in any team

well I think she did get a bit more use in 2.0. For rather than having to swap your team out all the time. Just apply weakness. Saves a lot of time, while still letting you do max damage to the new enemies that need their weakness broken, before they take full damage.
Umm… people seem to be forgetting eyes of prey exists, which is a 4* LC that literally has the same passive as her event LC, except the energy regen on def break. However, that LC still exists and can be gotten from standard banner, granted its still a gacha LC, but if you have it, you can most definitely use it. Just wanted to state this cause it seems a lot of ppl saying if you missed her event LC, its not worth, but if you have Eyes of Prey lying around, you can definitely use that since the passive is very similar, at S5 for both event LC and Eyes of Prey they both grant 40% EHR. Yes Eyes of Prey is gatcha, which is unfortunate, but it is definitely still a viable option. So for those ppl still considering pulling SW, want her and also have Eyes of Prey it still is worth considering.
Not forgetting, it’s just not recommended for new players to aim a certain 4* LC. Waaay better just to pull SW’s signature LC because it’s more guaranteed. Me for example have been playing since launch but my Good Night Sleep Well is still at S1, even though I’ve pulled on the banners that had it and the standard banner.

Just skip her, build your Pela, and wait for another debuffer.
SW is difficult to build because she needs at least 97% EHR to guarantee her debuff at E0. Her event LC at S5 provides a whopping 40% EHR. The only way to get similar number is by getting her 5* signature to S5, or by getting her copies to E2. Both options are obviously whaleshit.
At least Pela only need 67% EHR to guarantee her debuff and it’s also an AOE.
