두 행성은 서로의 비참한 운명에 얽혀있고, 검은 태양을 맴돌며 영원의 춤을 춘다.

최초에 그중 한 행성에서 인류가 탄생했고, 그들은 고개 숙여 발밑의 땅을 「이즈모」라 부르고, 다시 고개를 들어 하늘의 세계를 「타카마가하라」라 일컬었다. 역사에 기록되지 않은 어느 날, 「팔백만 신」이 타카마가하라에서 내려왔다. 신이라는 이름의 사악한 괴물들은 하늘을 뒤엎고 바다를 불태웠으며, 대지를 무너트렸다. 사람들은 흉악한 신이 통치, 지배 또는 약탈을 위해서 침입한 게 아니라 단지 사냥을 위해 왔을 뿐이라는 것을 경악 속에 깨달았다.

존속과 멸망의 경계에서 이즈모는 「신을 베는」 길에 오르고, 나라의 총력을 기울여 대재앙 「{RUBY_B#都牟刈神}츠무가리노카미{RUBY_E#}」를 베어, 그 짐승의 몸으로 최초의 「조도(詔刀)」를 만들어냈다. 그의 수법으로 그에게 되갚아주고, 칼몸에 담긴 진언을 읊음으로 칼을 가진 자는 타카마가하라의 신업을 손에 쥐어 악신에 맞서 세상을 구할 수 있다. 이로써 기나긴 정벌을 시작한 이즈모국은 헤아릴 수 없을 만큼의 희생으로 신명을 하나씩 몰락시켰고, 수천수만 개의 검을 부러트리며 12자루의 「호세조도(護世詔刀)」를 만들어냈다.

잔혹한 생존 전쟁 속에서, 이즈모국은 조도의 힘을 빌려 열 앰버기원도 채 되지 않는 기간 만에 아직 개화하지 않은 어두운 세계에 불을 밝히고, 찬란한 무지개의 도시를 세웠다. 과거 머나먼 곳에 있던 타카마 신국도 손쉽게 얻을 수 있는 지척에 있었다. 하지만 역사는 여기서 갑자기 멈추었다. 두 행성의 존재는 하루아침에 연기처럼 사라지고, 그 흔적도 찾을 수 없게 되었다.

오늘날 변방 행성인 「이즈모」의 과거는 우주의 일언반구 속에서만 찾을 수 있다. 그것의 소멸에 대해선 학자들도 의견이 분분하며, 누구도 그 수수께끼를 풀지 못했다. 이즈모의 역사는 기나긴 강처럼 이어졌어야 했지만 단칼에 끊어졌다. 갖가지 과거와 미래는 모두 텅 빈 저편으로 사라졌다. 그것은 존재한 적이 없고, 하나의 허황된 이야기에 불과했을까? 애초에 일어난 적이 없고, 원인과 결과가 뒤집힌 해변에 좌초된 것일까? 「원시 박사」의 또 다른 참담한 실험일까? 아니면 「탐식」이 은하 끝에서 돌아오는 전조일까?

오직 그 검은 태양만이 답을 알고 있다. 하지만 그분은 침묵하며 말하지 않는다.

발생한 모든 것은 반드시 끝을 맞이하며, 끝난 모든 것은 반드시 다시 발생한다. 우주는 그분의 그림자 아래서 영원히 회귀한다. 이즈모는 그저 줄임표의 한 각주에 지나지 않는다

연결 매듭

그 노래는 시작과 끝이 없고, 흔적조차 없다. 그 누구의 입에서 흘러나온 적도 귀에 들어간 적도 없다. 가사에는 이렇게 적혀있다:

타카마가하라는 아득하네. 마치 이즈모처럼. 그곳은 원래 모든 것이 조화로운 극락정토
하늘과 땅이 변하고, 검은 태양이 일으킨 조수는 마치 밀어닥치는 신들처럼 거세구나
팔백만 재앙신이 나타나 무자비한 도륙을 행하다가, 도리어 무상의 권능을 빼앗길 것이라 어찌 예측했겠는가?
이즈모국은 7만 33자루의 검을 부러트려 열두 호세조도(護世詔刀)를 만들었다네

첫 번째는 「{RUBY_B#真}마코토{RUBY_E#}」. 「{RUBY_B#都牟刈神}츠무가리노카미{RUBY_E#}」를 베어 만든 것으로, 인간이 법리를 살피고, 만물을 분석해 기적을 재현하도록 한다.
두 번째는 「{RUBY_B#天}텐{RUBY_E#}」. 「{RUBY_B#天常立尊}아메노토코타치노미코토{RUBY_E#}」를 베어 만든 것으로, 높은 하늘을 담벼락으로 만들어 재앙신들이 들어오지 못하게 막는다.
세 번째는 「{RUBY_B#鳴}메이{RUBY_E#}」. 「{RUBY_B#建御雷神}타케미카즈치노카미{RUBY_E#}」를 베어 만든 것으로, 번개로 하늘을 가르고, 유성처럼 빠르게 천벌을 내린다.
네 번째는 「{RUBY_B#嵐}아라시{RUBY_E#}」. 「{RUBY_B#志那都彦}시나츠히코{RUBY_E#}」를 베어 만든 것으로, 맹렬한 바람으로 대지를 부수며, 그치지 않는 거센 비바람을 일으킨다.
다섯 번째는 「{RUBY_B#霜}소우{RUBY_E#}」. 「{RUBY_B#天之冬衣}아메노후유키누{RUBY_E#}」를 베어 만든 것으로, 시간의 순서를 얼리고, 끝없이 얼어붙은 땅으로 순간을 영원히 만든다.
여섯 번째는 「{RUBY_B#命}이노치{RUBY_E#}」. 「{RUBY_B#石長比売}이와나가히메{RUBY_E#}」를 베어 만든 것으로, 황폐한 무덤에 꽃을 피우고, 생과 사가 끝없이 맴돈다.
일곱 번째는 「{RUBY_B#烈}레츠{RUBY_E#}」. 「{RUBY_B#迦具土命}카구츠치노미코토{RUBY_E#}」를 베어 만든 것으로, 화염으로 속세를 불태우고, 타오르는 불꽃은 들판을 태운다.
여덟 번째는 「{RUBY_B#覚}카쿠{RUBY_E#}」. 「{RUBY_B#八意思兼}야고코로오모이카네{RUBY_E#}」를 베어 만든 것으로, 수경에 비친 지난날로 앞날을 보고, 오랜 세월을 바라본다.
아홉 번째는 「{RUBY_B#礎}이시즈에{RUBY_E#}」. 「{RUBY_B#大山津見}오오야마츠미{RUBY_E#}」를 베어 만든 것으로, 열도를 하늘에 걸고, 땅을 가른다.
열 번째는 「{RUBY_B#千}센{RUBY_E#}」. 「{RUBY_B#大己貴命}오오나무치노미코토{RUBY_E#}」를 베어 만든 것으로, 무수한 사람들을 연결하고 무수한 그림자의 물결을 이룬다.
열한 번째는 「{RUBY_B#束}소쿠{RUBY_E#}」. 「{RUBY_B#久那止神}쿠나토노카미{RUBY_E#}」를 베어 만든 것으로, 갈림길을 묶어 악령과 악을 없앤다.
열두 번째는 「{RUBY_B#喰}쇼쿠{RUBY_E#}」. 「{RUBY_B#八十枉津}야소마가츠{RUBY_E#}」를 베어 만든 것으로, 세속을 부패시키고, 신귀의 분간을 어렵게 하며, 사혼(四魂)을 둘로 가른다.

그 후 유세(幽世)는 일소하고, 치열한 싸움은 막을 내리고, 열두 자루의 차가운 빛이 모두 부서졌다.
남은 황혼(荒魂)의 기세가 울려 퍼지고, 검은 태양이 환하게 빛나자 마침내 세상을 짊어질 칼 두 자루가 탄생했다.
하나는 「{RUBY_B#始}하지마리{RUBY_E#}」, 또 하나는「{RUBY_B#終}오와리{RUBY_E#}」. 사람으로 시작해 귀(鬼)로 끝났다.
끊어진 소리는 그치고, 떨어진 꽃은 시든다. 패자는 무(無)로 돌아가고, 승자는… 공(空)이 된다.

절뚝거리는 승려는 곡조가 맞지 않는 노래를 부르고, 신의 힘을 지닌 자들은 신으로 타락한다.
태양이 지켜보는 곳에서, 한때「이즈모」라는 이름이었던 땅에는 인간, 신, 귀(鬼)… 그 무엇도 찾아볼 수 없었다

    • It seems to be Acheron’s homeland. They tried to save themselves by the power of Nihility path but they extinted anyway, leaving Acheron behind as a space wanderer.

  1. Himeko + Herta, Topaz + Ratio, and Acheron. Even if it isn’t as optimal, this helps you focus on one world for your dpses, especially considering the other practically pure fiction planar in the same world as well. Overall it’s a nice but niche buff to these characters .

  2. This is for units that are oversaturated in DMG%. It’s the perfect set for Acheron and will be her best, she wants crit and attack way more than DMG%. Might be BiS for other units in the future, but idk who or if it’s BiS for any other current units. It’s also just pretty good as a generalist set, not like it’s bad on other units. It’s nice to be rid of the attack type specific buffs and just give more crit and attack for a more universal set. I am all for universal sets, I hate farming more niche ones.

  3. really? only 12%? 4% extra? Rutilant and salsotto only 8% but it has better effects.
    This should be buffed to idk.. maybe 15%? because 12%atk is extremely underwhelming

      • Either Salsotto or Rutilant still works for her just fine tbh. Technically she has more Ult damage overall (even in terms of main target damage) but her Skill isn’t incredibly far behind.

        I feel like their thought process behind this set is that Acheron has high Dmg% (traces, A6, sig LC/GNSW, Debuff set’s 2pc) so a combination of Atk%+Crit is usable on her and other similar high Dmg% DPSes. Even in my calcs I actually made Acheron go Atk% Orb, and this set still provides a miniscule improvement over Salsotto. Emphasis on miniscule though.

        • I don’t think its too bad, With this set, a crit rate chest piece and Pioneer of Dead waters you’d already be at 57.4 Crit Rate. For me at least getting crit rate is harder than crit dmg.

      • I don’t think it’s that good generally for now. It’s arguably better than Glamoth on Herta and Himeko in their combined team, but otherwise… Hard to tell. Jingliu doesn’t want it, Blade certainly doesn’t want it, Topaz still prefers Salsotto I think, Ratio has plenty of crit, though also plenty of dmg%, so that’s an option. Acheron’s BIS, yes, no arguments.

        Too situational to be a generalist set. You can’t run it without the condition, Glamoth or even SSS would be better generally. And there are not many characters that work with someone of their path and want atk and crit rate, but not dmg%. Ratio with Topaz – sure, maybe, but what if you don’t want to run them together this time? Do you swap back to another set? Is it really worth the effort and energy then?

        Hopefully it’s decent on Firefly. It is really most likely made for the future characters (Boothill? Screwllum?), but for now it feels really clunky to use properly. I personally think Sigonia is the more desirable one for now.
