Character Details | Senior manager of the Strategic Investment Department at the IPC and one of the Ten Stonehearts. His Cornerstone is the "aventurine of stratagems." An ostentatious risk-taker, he often wears a smile that masks his true motives. He won his current position by wagering against fate itself. He views life as a high-stakes, high-return investment, and he plays this particular gamble with masterful ease. |
Character Story: Part I | "I have something to report to you about the new employee." "What makes you so worried, Erwin?" "It's complaints about him, both formal and informal. My mailbox has been flooded with them like countless pieces of paper. I wonder... if it's worth reconsidering his inclusion in the Strategic Investment Department." "What do these complaints say?" "Mostly about his origins. Those eyes of his..." "He once deceived the Marketing Development Department by falsely claiming that there were energy sources hidden in the barren land of Sigonia, not yet effectively developed and utilized. A huge amount of funds was invested into excavating it before we realized it was all a scam." "And then there's the notorious Egyhazo Aventurine Case. He misled the Intelligentsia Guild into believing that the remains of Tayzzyronth the Imperator Insectorum were buried there. Despite the scholars being extremely cautious, they ultimately still fell into the trap." "And let's not forget the letters from the councilors of the Sigonian Sovereignty. They denounce his tribe for once breaking agreements and sowing discord, leading to significant changes in the balance of peace between the tribes, resulting in repeated delays in the signing of agreements between Sigonia and IPC. Allowing such an employee to join at the IPC would be a severe detriment to public relations..." "If these are the extent of the complaints, there's no need to tell me." "...You already know it all?" "Each gemstone holds unique value, and our task is to make investments." "We don't need to appease those stubborn old-timers who sent in complaints, as these rumors will eventually reach... No, they would already have reached his ears. Well, let's take this chance and see how big of a surprise he can bring us." |
Character Story: Part II | "You're quite something else, boy... I still can't figure out how you managed to empty out my entire business. But I will never surrender. If push comes to shove, I'll just blow up this whole place... What are you gonna do about it?" The Mad Bull of Iymanika signals his followers to let go. He raises his head from the table, dusting off his collar. "You arrogant dogs from the IPC never respected us wanderers, did you? But now that you're in our territory, you'll play by our rules." Mad Bull empties the cylinder, putting only one bullet in the revolver, and tosses it to the other man's feet. "Six shots. Fate will decide whether we live or die after a maximum of six shots. Do you have the nerve?" The other man bends down and picks up the revolver. "There are too many people who've pointed a gun at me. Some of them even just went ahead and pressed the trigger straight up... Now, guess how come I'm still standing here." The man stands up, stares into the Mad Bull's eyes, raises the gun, and puts it against his own heart. "It's because the gun will always end up in my hand." "And now, this game is making me bored... One in six? That possibly is nowhere near enough. If you want to tempt fate..." Six consecutive gunshots thunder out in the starship that is wrapped in a deathly silence. After the smoke clears, the man raises the gun again and walks toward Mad Bull. The revolver is now loaded with a fresh bullet. "You need to learn how to turn yourself into a die first." "...You won't surrender, but why? Because you have this lousy game of chance? Or..." He points the gun into the darkness. "Because of her?" A woman holding a pistol emerges slowly from the direction the revolver points. The Mad Bull acts as if he found a lifeline when he sees her. "Madam Jade, this is not what we agreed upon..." At that moment, both of them opened fire simultaneously, and two figures dressed in black fall from the shadows behind each of them. "The IPC has enemies everywhere, right?" The woman calmly holsters her pistol, takes out her cosmetic mirror, and inspects her appearance. "You used our lives as bait, making them believe there was internal strife between us, and then you eliminated them all... A clever trick, although a bit reckless." He greets the woman with a smile, although his hands tremble slightly. "Trick? No, it was just a test." The elegant lady opens her palm, revealing a shimmering aventurine of peculiar hues. "There's nothing strange about it. Gemstones are destined to be... desired, sought, cut, and sold." "However, there's so much more you can do. It all depends on how you see yourself." |
Character Story: Part III | He walks into the room at the furthest end of the corridor, remembering how he was still a grotesque prisoner the last time he came here. Now, he stands with his back straight and faces those who sit at the very top of the department. He listens to the blond woman as she reads out the lengthy and boring report. Those cold, unfeeling numbers cannot convey the dangers that accompanied him as he walked on the thin line between life and death, nor can they communicate how much he had lost and gained during the journey. He is simply curious whether she is human or an Intellitron. The aventurine, that symbol of power and of the future, is about to be officially handed to him — Yet it would have no more allure or value in his eyes as soon he obtains it, even though he had sought it by putting his life on the line. "Do you have any more questions, Aventurine?" Jade, the only person he knows among the presently gathered, asks at the end of the meeting. "The Avgins in Sigonia... what happened to them afterward?" "Unfortunately, there are no more Avgins in Sigonia. You're the last lucky dog." "What about those people who helped me on planet ██? Now I can finally repay their kindness." "They are no more, either." ... He returns to his office in a daze. The aventurine stone emits a peculiar glow on his desk, seemingly congratulating and mocking him at the same time. "Was luck truly on your side when you wrestled with fate?" |
Character Story: Part IV | "Penacony... Is Diamond finally ready to do something about it?" The miniature model on the table continues to rotate, the crystalline memory bubble emitting tiny spheres of foam. "This historic debt is utterly unimaginable. So, the profit involved is also... shockingly high." The person in front of him has their back turned to him, gazing instead at the purplish-red sky of Pier Point at sunset. "But why me?" The person continues to face away from him. Keen though his eyes are, he can not decipher the true intentions behind the decision. "It should have been me, but Diamond believes that The Family still had some value in cooperation and hopes this affair still has some room for a peaceful resolution." "So, after some thought, I've concluded that you're the best candidate." "This is only our second conversation ever. Do you trust me that much?" "No, I've never trusted you. Perhaps Jade does, but I don't." "Maybe luck won't be on your side this time, and the bill for all your past good fortune will come due." Finally, the person in front of him turns around. The distant skyscraper reflects a kaleidoscope of colors like an opal stone, while a music box plays on its own. "But isn't that what you've been longing for?" |

Aventurine is golden, a way to bypass the cheese and hax of Gold and Gears. Shield never breaks, constant use of his Ultimate.
A shame i lost to Bailu and couldn´t get his E1, that thing would have made him stupidly good
Currently doing a no DPS conundrum 10 run with preservation path
Beat plane 1 with the shield never breaking, I’ll see how the rest goes
Aventurine makes everything beyond trivial in SU, I don’t think it’ll ever be a challenge again if they don’t implement some shield ignoring enemies in the next events.
Yesterday I ran a random conundrum 12 just for the meme and ended up with a 300k shield on Aventurine.
This guy legit fixes the only issue preservation had before, which was being consistently able to have your characters shielded at any moment, which usually made the first floor harder than any other. Aventurine, on the other hand, can just enter a fight without using his technique and grant everyone a shield just like that. He’s legit crazy, and I sincerely hope they’ll play around shields in general in the next SU updates, there’s no way you can just run preservation and consistently sh*t on everyone.
I used to avoid preservation because I only had March and Fire TB, I tried it again after pulling Aventurine and cleared it at conundrum 10 first try despite getting very few buffs on the first plane. I started out pretty poorly, breaking shields every so often, but at a certain point I never saw my shields go to the point where it was a partial bar over my teammates health lol. I ran 3x DPS with all the follow-ups too, so he refreshed his shield very frequently.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they did release at least one enemy that does something negative to shields. We already have Sam, who reduces your team’s healing, and in Genshin they did add some rarely-used enemies that got buffs if they hit shielded characters. They could easily do something similar, like a reverse soda monkey; it hits a character with shields, it gets some sort of buff.
Forgot to update
I beat the run and saw abt a 60k shield on Aventurine
Also Sam does cut heals but not to such an extent that makes them useless (my Huohuo still full heals everyone not named Blade) if you’re using one of the 5* healers
You’re right, I have the same experience fighting Sam in the last MoC. I just used him as an example of Hoyo creating an enemy with a mechanic that tries to punish you for your choice of sustain. Between Sam and the soda monkey, they were probably trying to prime people to think about the limitations of healers and want to pull for Aventurine.
I mean, it makes sense
They want to sell their characters, if there’s no special limitations then everyone will just pull the 2 best sutainers and stop
To sell more sustains you need to inconvenience other sustains in specific content
I doubt they’ll make an enemy that totally ruins certain sustains but they’re already pushing shields with recent enemies in order to sell Aventurine
monkeys, big AoEs, healing cuts, the stall dinos
If they want to sell a healer they’ll probably make shields less useful, same for mitigators and whatever future sustain archetypes come out
Aventurine is the peak of preservation right now. He powercrept everyone including Fu Xuan and I’m not even joking. FX still has some weaknesses, she doesn’t like it when enemies do AOE attack, need healing, and she is not very effective with the preservation path on SU. I cannot imagine how they gonna make another preservation character as good as Aventurine.
Well Aventurine is a shield/sub-dps hybrid so there’s plenty of gimmicks left to explore
I fear what a pure shielder would look like though
Are his shields reliable enough to make Yanqing viable?
Aventurine made 1 hp Arlan viable. I’ve seen videos where they 3-starred the current MoC floor 12. I can’t see why he couldn’t with Yanqing.
Then again, you should avoid pulling someone because of wanting to use Yanqing. it would be far better if you pull Jingliu, which in my opinion has more value compared to Aventurine enabling Yanqing.
This is my moc 12 run whit Aventurine and Yanqing: https://youtu.be/DUqzMsbHQTI
So viable 😀
I pulled him and his LC then maxed EVERYTHING straight away
Fastest I’ve ever maxed a character and he’s soooo good
he and fuxuan make MoC a pleasant experience. it used to be stressful. goodbye bailu, lynx.
what team you are using him with?
Rn just slotting him into wherever he’s needed (My main team is Juan, Sparkle, Aven/Huohuo, Tingyun) or using preservation in SU
I could use Ratio and Ruan Mei with him for extra fun though
yeah I finally get to use preservation path just now too. very comfy.
same, with a proper Build he is way stronger than the Trial one
For all EU and NA players, I wish you luck when he releases!
Got him,
As expected:
-He can solo sustain for sure using Skill, basic, basic loop and don’t need er rope. Great upgrade over bailu or 4 star sustain. no fear of dying on Floor 12 anymore.
A little disappointment :
-The dmg …is not that bad but not that great. It’s enough to kill off some about to die enemies. I mean it stacks overtime but don’t expect much.
So I don’t suggest getting his Sig LC. He really doesn’t deal that much dmg. Get something else like his E or other character E / LC first.
Surprised :
-What’s great about him is that he hits many time over the cycle. He does Follow up atk quite frequently. and can Ult every 3 turns.
it’s very beneficial for current MoC that apply debuff every time they are hit. So if there’s more MoC or characters that benefits from number of hits, using ult, breaking, FA then he should be great there as well.
-And he refreshes shield duration all the time, so if there’s still plenty of shield then he never needs to use SP for 1-3 cycle. Very very very nice.
– Shield being on his E making bracing for big attack from the enemy quite easy. it’s wayyyyy better and safer than saving ult for healing like bailu, nat etc.
– That 50% ef res is better than I expected. I survive getting CC A LOT MORE (now i can do cheese restart when CCed much easier) and resist lots of Dot. In SOME case this make him sustain better than fuxaun.
good first/second limited sustain for anyone for sure. just don’t expect much from his dmg he’s not going to be your extra dps (his dmg is like 7-12% of whole team i think, it’s not low but not so high either)
8.5/10 ( CC resist is still rng and not real cleanse/prevent , follow up attack amount depends on rng)
I wish Aventurine had a mechanic to speed enemies up so he (and clara) can get follow-up attacks off more often
E1 or Light Cone? Which is better?
While his Sig LC is a huge upgrade over 4 stars LC, out of turn debuff, more def, and self Crit dmg.
but due to the fact that you can always get spooked by Moment of victory(repeatedly) at any point in the game or get from shop / or can you use Trend of uni market for Archeon.
Both weapons being not as good as his Sig but still great to use,
so I would go for E1, use 4 star LC for a while until you get spooked by Moment of victory would be better overall.
E1 will basically make him use 0 skill point to sustain for 0-4 cycles while buffing the whole team.
What do you guys think of his eidolons? Im thinkin of E2 but doubting it
it’s good but it’s either overkill for current content or it’s overall better to get a new character for different situation like getting a new OP Dps or an extra harmony or a new team comp (E2 Is basically 2 extra characters)to push for easier 0-2 cycle clear moc or pf.
sometime a signature for your char that don’t already have it might be a better upgrade as well.
in any case don’t get any E on day one.
it’s best you just play him at E0 first for 2 weeks to see if you still want his E2 and wait for next leak to drop and see if there’s any good character to get.
They’re all pretty decent but he’ll be more than good enough at E0
And his LC > Eidolons
